The location is incredibly close to the beach—just a few seconds away and you're right in the waves. The facilities are excellent, with a fantastic communal area that makes it easy to meet others. The staff are friendly and always eager to assist, and the food is delicious. Overall, I had a wonderful stay at Dots!

Property: Brilliant location. Cottage was at a quieter corner will pool in front. Great restaurant and nice common working space with AC and internet. People: Big plus, great welcoming happy staff who is always ready to help.Especial mention of “ Namal”.. the sweetest guy always looking to answer your next question. Beach is just next door and when there is a party it is the place to be . Loved it.

Dots Bay House is a trendy gem in the beautiful Hiri Bay. We had a very laid back stay with everything within reach, beach, pool, Hiri town with its wonderful massages (the Massage Shed is a must!), restaurants and coffee bars. The food at Dots is outstanding, we are veggie/vegan and everything we ordered looked and tasted excellent. Lots of animals in the garden, squirrels, monkeys, crabs, water monitors, birds. Always something to look at which we loved. And as good as no mosquitos! The athmosphere at Dots is very cool, real surfers vibe, a mix of young people and some less young. The Saturday night parties are the place to be in the area with dj’s from around the globe. The Yoga shala is beautiful and good lessons there in the morning. Special thanks to Shafni, the manager, for all the support he gave and for making my 50th birthday and our overall stay memorable. We were sad to leave but know we will be back.

Dots bay is beautiful, fun and the location is just perfect, by the beach. Staff super friendly and I liked the setup of shared rooms giving us privacy - that´s rare!

The staff were all so accommodating, especially the host Shafni, who went above and beyond to help us with day trips and made us feel so welcome. The location was amazing perfectly set back from the beach to have a more mellow vibe, and having access to a pool was wonderful after the beach and surfing. Also, the included breakfast was exceptional.

The room itself was very basic and filled with mosquitos. The room’s outdoor space / furniture was rough. Wi-Fi doesn’t work in-room, but there’s a common workspace available.

The location is excellent, fun vibes/ambiance. Good value for money, yummy food. We enjoyed the grounds of the hotel.

Loads of aircon you couldn't switch off in the dorms. High prices in the bar for drinks.

Nice and hipsterish hotel/hostel with all amenities right in front of the beach, with loads of activities and awesome breakfast. Really liked the idea to have your own private booth even though you're staying in a dorm, very innovative. Staff was super helpful and caring me when I was getting sick.

The price is of course a bit higher than a normal hostel - but the facilities and things included make up for it! The breakfast was the best one I've had in Sri Lanka and I've tried different things. And the possibility to wake up, grab a surf board (which is also included in the stay!), go surf and afterwards enjoy the swimming pool or the yoga studio was really amazing :)

Prices at the restaurant/bar felt a bit over the top - definitely one of the most expensive places I’ve visited during my trip around Sri Lanka (e.g. a dinner cost roughly 14 EUR). So bear that in mind when planning your budget.

A very original and comfortable dorm set-up (you have your own “cube” with walls and a door, so it’s very private). The dorm area had a pleasant A/C temperature and a calm ambiance day/night. Plus there was a tank with a filtered water available free of charge. The whole complex is nicely conceptualized, I very much appreciated the swimming pool and the co-working space (although there were occasional wifi outages). Staff is very friendly, professional and always ready to help. The breakfast was delicious and diverse, you can choose from the regular restaurant menu.
