It literally is a guest house to fall in love with! I cannot say enough good things about the owners here! Madousha is an absolute sweetheart, always going above and beyond to ensure everything is perfect for your stay. She always has a smile on her face and served us tea and fruits in the afternoon. She also offered bike rentals for just 1000 rupees a day, the most affordable rate we came across. We absolutely loved the vibe of this place and cannot wait to return for a second time!

I really loved my stay in this cute Guest House with this lovely family! The Guest House is out in the rice fields, so it’s quiet. enjoyed my mornings in the hammock with a nice view and a delicious breakfast with home made bread. I was even able to sneak into their bakery - thank you so much! 🥰

This was one of the best places we stayed in Sri Lanka. The hosts are so friendly and kind. You get to have fresh bread every morning with a delicious breakfast! It is also child friendly. The area is quiet next to rice fields, away from the noisy streets. Thank you for everything, we enjoyed our stay.

First room where we stayed, had red wooden floor and noisy fan, small shower room, and a lot of mosquitoes. Then we asked to change our room, happily the next one was 10 times better.

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The room on number 2 was better that number 6. The room was bright, bed had net which protected us from insects. Breakfast was super tasty, we had many bakeries. Friendly pets.

When i was there the electricity was off For awhile so i hv to wait until it On at night to go in & theres no warm Shower.

The Bakery Family Guest house is perfect if you’re looking to get away from the noise of central Mirissa. While it’s only a 20-25min walk or 5-min scooter ride, you will find yourself in the middle of the rice fields. So quiet, so green. You will wake up with the birds singing in the morning. Rooms are spacious, with basic furniture but just enough for you to unpack all your belongings. Shower is cold but to be honest, in this region, with the heat, it is actually very welcome and refreshing at the end of the day. You have access to a nice little kitchen if you want to cook. You can rent a scooter or a bicycle directly from the guesthouse and if you’re not up for it, they are always tuktuk passing by on the road. Vincente and Noona the owners are always super helpful and will make your stay unforgettable. For breakfast, you will have the opportunity to taste Vicente home bread and some sweet buns that he also makes while Noona will prepare an omelet and a fresh fruit salad. The best way to start the day! I found a family here at the bakery and I will miss everyone.

Wonderful guesthouse with a pretty cool view. The family let us rent a bike for 1000lkr a day. Breakfast was amazing and the rooms ar clean and have a vent for cooling. The host drove us with his tuktuk to the bus station in mirissa after we checked out for free. Its clearly a 10/10 when you look at the price.

Super friendly family who always made sure I was comfortable. Great breakfast and a quiet location with a 10min walk to the beach and main road. I thought the place was new due to lack of reviews but there are other guests there for sure, most of them book through airbnb. Rooms were clean with fan, mosquito net and bathroom.

‏The only thing is that the guesthouse is 1.3 KM from the main street that means 15 minutes walking BUT if you have a motorcycle, bike or like to walk I highly recommend you to go to Bakery Family guesthouse.

So hear me out, I have been in Sri Lanka for a month between hostels, cheap hotels and guesthouses and let me say that Bakery Family Guesthouse is the best on them it’s just in the top of my list, no honestly it’s and let me tell you why. First of all its new building with new furniture, the bed equipped with mosquito nets, there’s a table and wardrobe. The food is totally delicious and a lot. The owners are so sweet, they will ask you more than once to assure that you have everything you need.

the bed sheet kept rising, so was too small for the size of the mattress. The place is a bakery but I think what would help is a wider range of food for breakfast. Eggs perhaps to go with the bread.
