Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesIt is on the main road, but I have ear buds for travel. It is far enough from the area right around the start of the walk so you can’t hear the music etc.
Seems new, very clean, cabin vibes. Hot water, no fan in room but we weren’t in the room very long and it’s cool at night. We arrived at 9pm, had some tea and slept till 1 to get ready for our hike. When we arrived we had the vegetable kottu which was really good, and social biriyani but it’s actually fried rice. Pragash who I think is the manager was 10/10. He reached out before we arrived, constantly checked in to make sure we were okay and gave us tips for Sri Pada. He’ll definitely do anything/everything to make sure your stay as you want it.

IsraelNoise from the street. We booked this place to be close to the start of the Sri Pada trail. We woke up at 01:30 in the morning night to start walking by 02:00. It was hard to get these crucial few hours of sleep due to non stop noise by trucks, buses, pilgrims. As it’s a 24/7 trail the noise was awful
The manager was great! Helped us and the breakfast was super!

Building was nice, clean room. Great views. Very friendly staff. Great food, and they have a beer. Good place to do the Adam's Peak, but if we had more time I would have liked to stay longer to chill and explore the area.

ItalyThe bed was made only with bottom sheet and bedcover (after asking top sheet was provided). The towels and rugs have had their life already. Wifi is not so strong. The breakfast costed 4usd each which is more than what we normally pay for lunch in local places (but was fantastic)
The host was the most lovely guy, super helpful and never too pushy offering their services. The place is basic but very clean and offers all you need for a night stay. The breakfast is incredible, they really go above amd beyond with it. Great value for the price.

AustriaThe noise from the street was a bit loud in the room.
The views from the balcony were amazing! Even though it was raining, we could sit on the chairs in front of the room comfortably and watch the clouds. Breakfast was really good, coffee/tea, lots of fruit, toast and eggs and a different local dish on the two mornings we spent there - it cost around 1300 LKR per person, and was really worth it! The start of the Adam’s Peak trail is close.

PolandWe planned hiking Adam's Peak (Sri Pada) for a sunset from top Temple and this Motel was a great place to have some sleep before hike. Host helped us with some tips and we had delicious dinner (even if there was no electricity - it broke in that area for some hours that day). We woke up 2, was at entrance gate around 2:30-2:45 and we made it for beautiful sunset. Then came back for huuuge tasty breakfast at Motel. Biggest breakfast in Sri Lanka. Thanks so much for your hospitality! Greetings!

Francethe window gives out on the main road so it was a little noisy, especially that I stayed there on a full moon’s night and there were a lot of buses bringing up people for the walk. it must be quieter on a regular day, I think
i stayed for one night to hike the Adam’s peak. the room was nice and clean, hot water in shower, warm welcome and a lot of good advice from the host. overall a very nice place.

RussiaJust nearby an entrance to the Adam’s peak trail ( easy to get in at night and the shortest distance to come back after enormous efforts climbing and descending) the hotel is just above the main road with a spectacular view on tea gardens by surrounding hills . you can take your time siping tea and viewing that for hours Staff is really helpful and gave us advises on timing , ways and etc to climb up and find the Moray Waterfall around . Breakfast was also very good .

Sri LankaRooms face the road and in pilgrimage season buses often give a friendly beep, so light sleepers may want ear plugs.
They could not have been more lovely and helpful and even brought an umbrella to my restaurant during a sudden downpour. So welcoming and helped with advice on Adam's Peak. Views of the tea plantations opposite are beautiful. Breakfast was great.
