Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere were no traditional plug sockets near the bed, they were only USB ports which we didn't have. Breakfast ran out pretty fast and the staff struggled to replenish it properly, especially on the day a tour bus took over the breakfast hall. The netflix had a restriction on it so despite advertising it, it didn't work. You can hear a lot of the traffic noise from the road. All of these were minor points and I would stay here again but they are worth mentioning.
The staff were friendly, the room was well cleaned each day and had everything you needed. The location was good. The breakfast had a good range of food on offer and there was a 24hr help desk. The Aircon worked well. Overall a very good stay

United StatesThe cleaning of the rooms could be improved and the hotel could invest in anti-noise windows, also the hotel could provide water for each room, at least two small bottles.
The eclectic style of the hotel and the wonderful staff. This hotel has such amazing people working there. Also, the breakfast is delicious. Congrats to Mrs. Sofi.

United StatesThe only very minor thing was that the carpet in the hallway looks a little worn. Really inconsequential.
After a long hectic day, this was a very nice place to find refuge for the night. Staff was friendly and helpful. There isn't a lot of onsite parking, but it worked well for me. The breakfast buffet was good for hotel breakfast. With a dog park just a couple blocks away, the hotel and location were dog friendly.

United States- Although location is good, during the night the street in front of the hotel is full with prostitutes. Don't walk around the hotel after 10pm. - One cleaning maid stole my makeup. I informed the reception and they apologized but they didn't refund me. - The breakfast is bad, not worth it. - the pillows are super uncomfortable, they need to change them.
- Location is good (but don't walk during the evening/night) - They clean the rooms & bring fresh towels every day - The rooms were spacious

United StatesThey didn’t clean my room. In fact, yesterday I asked the cleaning crew if they could come in an hour as I was about to head out. Once I got to my room, they didn’t come and clean it. Also, the hotel’s location was not as convenient as I had thought. It took like a good 20 min walk to get to Paseo de la Reforma and Zona Rosa. Lastly, they had such a small desk. I could barely fit in my computer
The staff. Very helpful, atte rice and personable

United StatesThe complementary breakfast is only a toast with butter and coffee/juice, and only on the first morning upon arrival. This is hardly a benefit, and think it's practically false advertisement just to be able to put it as a perk. Additionally, the fact that it's only available on the first morning was never communicated to us upon check in -- the manager did invite us to to receive in on day 2, after we followed up.
Startling lobby and reception area - a combination of golden age of cinema experience with posters and memorabilia & luxury repair shop with glorious vintage cars and scooters. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was clean, fresh, and of decent size. The neighborhood is sufficiently close to the main sites, and within biking distance from the majority of my desired destinations.

New ZealandNearly everything about the hotel was close to perfect but only 3 things for improvement for the management team in our opinion: 1. I wish they gave 2 slices of bread during breakfast instead of 1 as bread is cheap (small suggestion) 2. They need to work with Booking.com to update their information as the pet fee is apparently incorrect 3. The first room we were put into was not clean and had something bite me at night. However the receptionist was quick to resolve the issue. They put us in a different room on another floor and in the 2nd night during my stay, I finally had a good night sleep with no issue.
A very beautiful and artsy high end dog-friendly hotel with an Asian flare. As an interior designer, I thoroughly enjoyed taking photos of the design of the hotel. Loved the onsite carpark as it was super handy and secure. The decorations in the lobby was gorgeous and I loved the look of their restaurant. The bedroom had a decent size bed & bathroom space. The staffs were polite and helpful. I could tell they enjoy & are proud to work there. Love the black & red colour palette. For my birthday I plan to stay at their suite in the future.

United Statesour room was street-facing so it was loud. I was a little disappointed because i asked for a quiet room and the hotel was minimally populated so I'm not sure why the request wasn't honored with plenty of empty rooms. the AC wasn't easily working (maybe the batteries were dying?) so it was hard to moderate the temp in the room. breakfast is continental and relegated to 1 cup of coffee, which is strange for a free breakfast in the city -- we're used to more full breakfast or at least more coffee. and finally -- this street location is well known for "ladies of the night" so if you don't want to see that part of the city or explain to your kids what the ladies are doing... you might want a different hotel.
the decor of the hotel is funky and whimsical! and the location is great -- right on the edge of San Raphael and a few blocks from Reforma. the pillows were super comfortable too and the shower is very nice (maybe improved from past reviews). the servers in the restaurant were wonderfully kind and made us feel really welcome!
