My jungle suite didn't have a balcony as it was highlighted when booked. Pools at the beach club should have a water heater so guests may enjoy them. They were always empty because the water was too cold.

Beautiful place, great staff, excellent service... special mentions to Raquel, our concierge, who went above and beyond to make our stay perfect and Ivan at the beach club was awesome!

Booked a private rooftop pool suite only to find we were overlooking (and hearing noisy) construction directly next to us - understand this type of thing is unavoidable but disappointing nonetheless It's quite expensive and while the suites can easily accommodate 3-4 people they charge extra for any occupants beyond 2

Room lights too dark. Room constantly full of sand. That system with the bowl outside of the door doesn’t work. Lobby & front restaurant really dated. Which left us with one restaurant. Some strategic planting would really make outdoor showers private. Pools outside rooms dangerous to enter, freezing cold water, not private. Certain pool types (rimless) flow over the wall into areas where the water just sits and attracts a million mosquitoes. Which then make it into the room. Need to get that water moving or use smoke bombs. Sargrasso was obviously a problem

- Room was dark - Overpriced according to me (but it seems that’s the prices in Mexico and in Tulum especially…) - We really, really did not appreciated the fact that they forbide us to use our 12 years old reflex (an I phone today is doing better pictures… that’s crazy)… when you go in a beautiful hotel, you want to have your souvenir and that’s totally crazy for us to forbid people to take picture (we are not stupid, and didn’t took pictures of any clients inside the hotel…). And we didn’t appreciate at all the way the staff talked to us regarding this point… the total lack of communication between them (one member at the reception told us during our checkin that pictures were allowed until these photo didn’t have any commercial purpose, which in our case was of course not the case…) but the day after, other members told us everything and its opposite… yes you can take pictures with your phone, no you can’t, one told us that even with a go pro you can’t take pictures… that’s crazy and really annoying.. And again we really didn’t appreciate the way the staff talked at us regarding this matter

Nice hotel + : - Really nice hotel, the gardens and common areas are wonderful, the gardeners are doing such an incredible job here - Room was nice and quiet when comparing to other options we had in Tulum and that were even more expensive - View from the room is nice, contrary to other hotel in Tulum that sell you a view on the jungle and deliberately lie to you, the advertisement is true at be tulum and that’s a nice thing - Food was delicious - Setting on the beach is just amazing, beach is amazingly beautiful - Service by the beach - Common areas are really beautiful

There is nothing I can think of that they could have done better. The trip was exceptional!

The staff, especially Reuben, were amazing and attentive. The food was excellent, service was top notch. I cannot wait to go back!

Sheets were not changed at all full 5 days they started to smell The animal raccoon on top of the roof in the bedroom walking very uncomfortable felling though it would end up in the room

However the room was not what I booked and was not on the ocean (which i paid $1k for especially for being on the ocean) they gave me a room veery far back from the beach, and was told the room i booked was not in service. Secondly, the spa was fully booked out, another reason i booked was for the spa facilities. And lastly, since i left i have been trying to get an invoice for my stay and it has taken over 1-month to receive this invoice (still not received it)

Overall the stay was good, good location and nice hotel. Good restaurant food

Very expensive for such worn down place. It is not luxurious in any way. Unique, maybe, but far from high end. This place is just a viral hipe. I would choose other places to stay.
