I reserved a room for my family 3 adults and a 15 year old and they wanted me to get another room for my daughters which I didn’t understand why when the room has two beds. I think they’re trying to get more money; besides that we had a great time with my family next time I will probably reserve directly with them.

There was a good variety of food, loved the omelette station and the customer service was very friendly.

Music from the weddings played too late and too loud. We had one meal at El Terrel and we were not impressed. The steak was very fatty. The resort is s a bit tired.

Unfortunately, we witnessed a health incident involving some guests. An elderly man experienced a non-serious health issue; however, this exposed the inadequate training and attention to emergencies and medical incidents. None of the staff or management seemed to have basic medical training, and they were unfamiliar with using a blood pressure monitor. The bathroom had 2 sinks, but one of them wasn't working. Overall, it's an old hotel that is well-maintained, but there are quite a few things that need improvement. The rooms have a strange smell, like pipe or dampness.

Hasn’t been updated in 20-30 years. Furniture is worn, TVs old, bathrooms dated - many stairs and no handrails - only 2 English TV channels - little English spoken by staff

Buffet breakfast was not very appealing this time. One day sausages were dried out. Refried beans were like soup. Our final night there was a Christmas party for the staff that went on until midnight with very loud amplified music.

Service was quite deficient, especially for a self advertised "4 diamond" Hotel. There was a roach in my balcony, the toilet would literally not suck, and the staff (except for Magdaleno at the Beach Club) seemed like they were doing me a favor and were not pleased about it. At the main buffet, people looked displeased, if you requested even a glass of water, you'd be glared at. Waiters would deliberately ignore you, with the argument "I'm not your waiter/this is not my table" I don't care whatever they think, EVERY single waiter should be willing to serve and tend to any guest's needs. Even the simplest of requests (like a pack of Splenda) would be met with annoyance that was hardly disimulated. I had checked out but still stayed due to a late flight and I was told I could still eat (on payment of course) on premises. This was communicated to my waiter at the Delfines hotel. When I requested the check, she asked me for my Room number. She then came back and said I mentioned the wrong number and that was not my Room. I told her I had it, to which she rudely insisted "NO THAT'S NOT YOUR ROOM" there was absolutely no tact or attention. How dare she put me in the spotlight like that?! In addition, I could not believe I was told and promised that hotel-airport transportation could be arranged for me, yet; when requested, I was bluntly and unapologetically told that I had to pay in cash. No apology or explanation. I had to call the airport and wait 40 MINUTES for a taxi to arrive which made me almost lose my flight. In all honesty I chose this property because of its history and the price, but I would advice ANYBODY against it due to my experience. I expect the hotel to reach me with something beyond an empty apology because If I get no response or just a lame "We continue to work to improve", I'll make sure to share my experience beyond this review so customers actively avoid booking here.

Property is pretty but it is stuck in time. Elevators don't work, staircases are worn and teared... There is a charm of feeling transported right back to the movie "10" but also the things that failed over 40 years ago keep failing in 2023

The hotel has a great ambience and feel right on the bay of Manzanillo. Staff was very service oriented. Breakfast, lunch and dinners were all good. Room was comfortable and had a good view of the bay and ocean.

The property is fine for families but would be totally unsuited to older or disabled guests because access to everything is via many stairs and there are few elevators in the main areas. On our visit, staff were very friendly. Exceptions were : staff at checkin who were uninformed and/or gave totally wrong information about what we were entitled to; at the Hotel Store one of our group bought an expensive snorkel that didn’t work. There was no refund offered - only the option to take other merchandise he didn’t want, so I would be wary of buying anything there.

The beach is lovely, as is the location of the resort beside a little harbour with several independent restaurants. The architecture is charming.

4 flights of stairs to go down to the beach. the hotel restaurant was good but very expensive. The nearby restaurants were expensive and not very good.

Reception told us to go to the private pool, and the bartender told us that we can’t be there, then he called the reception to verify then he said that we can stay, but we prefer to go to different bar.
