Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MexicoRoom size was the smallest we experienced during our 20-day trip to Southern Mexico.
This is a plain hotel with an excellent location just 2 blocks from the Zocolo. Essentially it is just a place to sleep with no frills nor other services. Our room was clean with a large bathroom something that seemed strange since the main room had a bunk bed and was about the size of a walk-in closet. An elevator has been added since our last stay, something important to people with rooms on the 5th or other upper floors.

CanadaThe room was too small. It would be nice to have a little fridge and a coffee maker. In the room. It is located at a very crowded street. So it is very difficult to find a taxi and the ones the hotel employees call take too long to arrive.
The room was very clean the staff was helpful and friendly. It is close to the main tourist attractions.

MexicoThe location is traffic jammed all the time and very noisy. The pipes in the bathroom are super noisy, I would hear rattling noises when I used my sink but also the ones of other bathrooms.
The staff super friendly, wifi is great. The location is not great but it is close to the airport and to the historical center. They don't have a restaurant but they sell economic snacks and drinks.

United StatesI realize that the plumbing systems are very old in much of México. The pipes in an adjoining wall rattled when my neighbor used their shower. And when I turned on my sink faucet.
The two receptionists - Laura and Rosie - were SO caring and supportive to me during my stay. They were truly amazing and saved me on several occasions. They were the reason that I finally was able to get a rapid covid test before my departure to the USA. Only because they both waited on the phone several times until the call was finally answered and they could schedule the in-hotel visit. Muchisimas gracias! They called "safe taxis" for me, helped me with my luggage, suggested restaurants, answered all my questions, laughed at my jokes, and were so responsive. Occasionally we used our mobile phones to get translation. But mostly we spoke in Spanish and sometimes a little English. The camaristas did such a wonderful job of cleaning my room every day. I also appreciated that there were double-paned windows that kept out the noise from a very busy street of outdoor vendors! The location was ideal, only a few blocks from the Zocalo, perfect for my interests!

United StatesWalls were a bit thin, only a problem the night I decided to go to bed at like 9 though. Also wish there had been a bit more mask-wearing.
Nice central location, great views from the rooftop patio. Friendly staff, appreciated that I could buy water (and beer!) at the front desk, since the neighborhood was super quiet at night and most of the shops close early.

Perfect location, the staff was very helpful. Its a googd hotel. It’s a totally good place to recommend to anyone. Everything is very easily accessible. The metro is very close, the Zocalo too. Airport is 20 minutes by bus.

United StatesSomehow the rooms were way warmer than outside to the point I was sweating while sleeping with no blankets. There is no air conditioning and the fans barely work. The property also looks very different from the pictures online.

United StatesThe hotel needs remodeling, layout, and flooring seem to be very old. Especially noticeable in the shower flooring. In addition the room was very small.
It's in a decent location, walking distance to many attractions. The staff was friendly, and the hotel was relatively clean. The price was decent and not too expensive.

United StatesThe room had been cleaned with products so strong it burned our throats. The bed was small and the room was spare. As a married couple in our 50s, we were disappointed to be given a bunk bed. But it was just for one night. There was no hot water in the shower. Bottled water is available for purchase at the front desk. We've stayed in a few places in CDMX and the price seemed high for the quality and character of the room and hotel.
The location is great, very close to the zocolo, but in a quiet spot next to a walking street. Uber can pick up just outside around the corner. The building is old and has potential to be made more welcoming. There's an elevator.

United KingdomVery dirty. Couldn’t sleep at all as the window in the bedroom didnt have a curtain to block the 24/7 light from the hallway. The entire hotel is open in the centre of the building so when guests enter the hotel at all hours you can hear them buzz and loudly enter the building/ talk/ etc. The towels are grey & heavily worn and bathroom is mouldy. I have a rash on my face & all over my body from the strong detergent used in the towel & bedding (still 4 days after leaving the hotel). The room had 2 beds and 2 bathrooms although there wasn’t enough room to barely leave suitcases on floor (there should only be 1 bathroom for the bedroom size).
The location is central
