Everything was great.

We stayed here for the second time. First time we stayed here only for one day and now for the whole week. The long stay was not worse than the short one. Everything was great again. Good location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms. We didn't need a room cleaning every day, but staff whatever gave us a laundry bag with towels, soap etc. every day. It was very nice, but, to be honest, not necessary. I think, It would be enough to have a room cleaning/ laundry bag only twice a week. But in any case, it is very nice, that hotel provides us with it, even if it is redundant.

The bath has a shower curtain which hugs you whilst taking a shower for a 4 star hotel this is ridiculous. The beds were too soft and I ended up with a backache.

It was not the first time I stayed here, so I thought I knew what to expect more or less. But even so I was pleasantly surprised with the facilities. The room was spacious and clean, the breakfast had more than I could possibly eat nd the staff was helpful and friendly.

No information & less than knowledgeable staff. The safe didn't work & neither did the spa. We had to move rooms - the 1st had an ironing board & airconditioning the 2nd room with same pricing did not!

Parking in the hotel was very pricey. Welcome to the hotel was adequate. In the morning staff did not seem to want to make eye contact.Decor could do with a lift .dark colours in the room.disappointing compared with the pictures.

Location was great.close walking distance to town center and close to train station.rooms where very roomy and comfortable. Alkmaar is really nice top location.It is a good base even to visit Amsterdam by train for the day.frequent trains and only 40 mns away.

Bedding and towels are poor quality and not welcoming. Breakfast and parking are both over priced. After a long journey I was awakened by somebody using a power masonry drill in the stairwell adjacent to my room at 08.15 hrs.

Location is excellent. Walking distance to both station and old town. Rooms are well equipped and quiet.

The lack of adequate onsite parking and the distance from the nearest parking garages. Not ideal in torrential rain! On checking in I was told the all the available on-site parking was taken up for the duration of our 3-day stay yet was also told that parking could not be reserved. How is that possible?
