Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

IsraelTwo years ago when I had my first stay the breakfast was much better, it used to have much more options of hot meals now they have only boiled eggs, also they ask to put the dishes to the cleaning area after eating - feels like a canteen
Second time in this hotel, very attentive staff at the front desk, the rooms are clean, up to request they clean rooms every day, good lobby bar for the drink in the evening, my room was on a high floor with a perfect view to the channel (probably upgraded, if yes, thank you!)

KuwaitThe AC system needs to be improved, even with the lowest AC etpoints the rooms still have high humidity. They have slippers but they don't leave it in the rooms. You have to go to the reception by yourself and pick your own slippers. Why not just leave two pairs in each room?
My 4th stay so far, I think it's the best hotel for Amstrdam visitors, it's like 7 minutes away from dam square. You have a lrage supermarket beside the hotel, beautiful river view & the rooms are large enough.

AustraliaThey had no room available when we went to check in even though we had prepaid months ahead. They did arrange for us to go to another hotel and paid for the taxi and return the next day. It was such an inconvenience for us as we had travelled all day and just wanted to go to bed at 9.30pm not have to travel to another hotel and eat snacks as no restaurant was open when we got to new hotel.
The staff were very friendly, breakfast was great and the room was nice and it was good to have the convenience of a self serve mini mart to get snacks or toiletries.

AustraliaI know the hotel price in Amsterdam city is not that low, but this hotel deserves this price; compared with some other hotels in the city centre, it provides better staying environment with a little bit lower price--just needs 1 stop metro from Amsterdam Centraal railway station. the breakfast has a variety of food; food trays are filled up frequently; and the staff has also kindly helped me microwave my take-away; the bed exceeds my exception--the mattress is super comfort and seems using memory foam mattress- not too firm not too soft; the staff are quick response and are hospital, helped me figure out my sim card; the room has a good river view and are very clean and tidy, has many hangers to use.

TurkeyThe shower area needs improvement; the water pressure is insufficient. Carpeted floors are not ideal for hygiene. Additionally, there should be a minibar in the rooms. The rental bicycle prices should be lower, considering the location is not very central.
The cleanliness is very good, the staff is very attentive, and the breakfast is sufficient. The rooms are nice and comfortable.

Holiday Inn Express is conveniently located in the Motorkade area near the canal. It has a spacious parking garage and a good infrastructure nearby (shops, metro in 5 min of walking distance, ferry in 15 min of walking distance). The staff was polite and provided the best room possible with the view on the top floor, which is totally recommended. The room was clean and equipped with the basics, so overall, from check in to check out it was a wonderful experience.

It seems like breakfast is progresively worse, with fewer options every time I come). Air-conditioning (it was too cold in the room, couldn't get the temperature up more than a few degrees)🙁 Would be good to have a mini fridge in rooms 🙂

United KingdomThe only thing that could be improved is the connection room should be prioritized for families with children. On the first day, we were given 2 rooms on 2 different levels which was difficult for us as the kids were jumping between 2 different rooms to see their other siblings. It would be an amazing experience if the hotel gave us a connection room. It was not possible as they do not guarantee it and when you arrived they said there was no available. I would recommend sorting it out from the beginning and confirming the connection room with the client beforehand

The hotel was very nice and clean. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was also provided. They served bread, deli, cereals, fruit, yogurt, and drinks. The hotel is located on the north side of Amsterdam. It's 5 minutes walk to a subway station and 10 minutes walk to the ferry. There was a grocery beside the hotel. There's a place beside the hotel called Wonder but wasn't able to explore it.There was a place behind the hotel, Foodmarkt but didn't get the chance to see it. It's in a residential area and was quiet at night. There were no restaurants around. We arrived late at night, and there were no places to eat or grab food from. There's a small convinience-like store by the lobby of the hotel though.
