Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomWhen arrived the room wasn’t a twin room/double room. They gave us 4 beds🤣. It didn’t really bother me but it wasn’t what I booked for. Moreover, there was a particular smell from the room that was just awful.
It is located next to the train station and it only takes 6 min or so to go to the centre. However the ticket it’s around 2.6€ to go and then 2.6€ again to come back. We had the I Amsterdam card but trains were not included so we spent around 30€ in 5 days just on trains because the metro takes almost 1 hour to get to the centre so just keep in mind that!!!

Pretty good hostel with huge lobby where are restaurant, bar, kitchen, wash machines staff, dinning room... Comfortable rooms with really good bathroom and downstairs comfortable lobby Good location in railway station Sloterdijk cca 50 mètres. Very good way how to be very quick in the center of the town...in Central Very good breakfast and nice staff in hostels, friendly people Quality in the level of hotel and really very good modern new comfy bathroom with good equipment

We had a private room with 6 beds (4 of which were bunk beds) for our family of 5. The room was very clean, the toilet bowl was separated from the shower, and the sink was outside of the bathroom. There were windows in the room but they couldn’t be opened. Most of the amenities were in the common area on the ground floor, there was a kitchen, a water dispenser, and two paid washers and dryers. We didn’t use the kitchen because it was almost always crowded. There weren’t a lot of restaurant options nearby, but the location was quite good because it only took about 3 minutes to walk to the metro station, and downtown was only one stop away. We arrived around 11 am and were very pleasantly surprised to know that the room was already ready.

IrelandHad a coffee in the cafe, and the cleaner asked us to lift our feet and reposition to clean under the table. I find it rude as there’s plenty of area to start to clean without customers sitting. I understand that he needs to do his job but not while a customer is enjoying their coffee at least.
Location is 2 minutes walk to train station and just 10 minutes away from Amsterdam Central.

United KingdomThe elevator could be a bit confusing at times, it didn't have any bottoms inside. We didn't realise we needed to ask in reception if we wanted the room cleaned or new toiletries.
Location was very good, 2 mins away from the station. There were many recommendations in the hotel for food, activities, etc. There is a bar and a kitchen inside the hotel, which is very convenient. The hotel room was great, very espacious. Great place overall, would definitely come back.

Some of the beds had an adequate pillow but 2 of the beds in our room only had one pillow which was only a half size square pillow, I do think if we’d have asked for another they’d have sorted it though.. we just didn’t… also the lighting in the rooms is awful.. if you’re a woman travelling who wears makeup it’s definitely worth bringing some sort of portable light .
The property was clean the rooms clean and comfortable close to the centre and the train station is next door which is ideal! Very good quality for money, there was a problem with our booking on arrival and they were very helpful to get it sorted for us! The main parts of the hotel feel safe clean and friendly, quiet in the nighttime too despite the large groups.

The room was spacious. We had a private bathroom for our room of 4 travellers. The breakfast was until 10:30. The beds were very comfy (although small).
