Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BrazilThe TV support was strong enough to hold the TV on a position that made it quite difficult to move around the room. That was really annoying. Also they said the breakfast goes until 10:30 but when I arrived (around 10) there was no fruits anymore and no one replaced with others.
Very well located, nice design and excellent staff. I would definitely come back if I have to come back to the city.

United KingdomThe room we were staying in was on the bottom floor. Room number 1. This room was directly behind the reception area. The room smelt of drainage all the time and there was damp on the outside walls next to the window. No heating in the bathroom so was rather cold when you were showering. I would stay in the hotel again but not this room.
Liked the location. Stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and breakfast nice. Staff especially the young lady who did the morning shift. She advised us where the best places to go were away from the city centre.

United KingdomA couple of minor things. When we arrived the room felt cold and the heating didn't seem to work. We asked Reception and they explained that the heating was controlled centrally, so we got them to turn it to a higher setting. Also the pillows weren't as soft as we would have liked.
A good size room, calm and tasteful decor, immaculate bathroom, very convenient for the Old Town and transport by rail and tram, quiet despite being close to a tramline, friendly staff.

South AfricaWalls are so thin that you can easily hear neighbours talking through the walls but especially footsteps stomping from floors above. Thankfully it was only a single night stay that we had to contend with the noises. Needed to do an early checkout to get to catch our flight. Older man at reception didn’t seem to know how to pull up client accounts on the computer or even count money and do simple math for change. Held us up for quite some time. Really frustrating if you’re on a time schedule.
If you need to be close to Central Station then it’s within walking distance.
