Hard to communicate w management. Responses from Booking.com messages take a min 24 hrs. I tried to call midday to get earlier checkin as their msg said it was possible but no one answers. They should tell you that the main apt entry is basically on the restaurant terrace. Entry and hallways decrepit but apt is nice.

The check-in and check-out hours. They were very strict. You should pay extra for each hour that did nor respect the schedulled program.

Another small bottle of shampoo, dishwashing tablet and washing powder for 2 people staying for a week would have been welcomed, otherwise, no complaints.

This a a comfortably furnished apartment hotel, well located and sitting with a beautiful vista of one of Leiden’s canals. Do not expect reception - check in is via a code to a lockbox. Be aware there is a flight of very steep stairs - lots of reviews state this, so if you’re going to have a whinge about them, it’s not for you. I’m just mentioning it so you’re not surprised. If they don’t worry you, this place is in a perfect peaceful spot. It’s a lovely place to stay.

The stairs are very steep in the loft room, not ideal for a toddler but we managed fine, just to note if booking that room with a toddler, I would have preferred a different room but they were full.

We had no idea how to work the heating or the washing machine or the oven, the television had no Chanel’s and I did not receive the email With wifi . I found out from other occupants what the password was . Some easy instructions placed near by in English would be helpful. We tried a few times to make contact by phone and email and had no Reply. That was disappointing

There was a problem with the front door/key which didn't get resolved during g our stay, but we were able to us the bell to enter.

There was quite a lot of control before checking in. The owners asked for downpayment before our arrival which is not something I am used to. Also, check in time was strict, otherwise there was an extra charge for it, and was supposed to be done through an ID control via camera before entering the building. Nice for safety but I found that over the top. However, the door was already open for us so we didn't have to do the ID control.

The view of the apartment overlooking the port was absolutely stunning! The place was very clean, fully equipped, but also not overloaded with used stuff from the owner (like some airbnbs have, old food etc). The linen and towels were hotel-grade and the decoration was minimalistic but cosy, like a perfect balance between b&b and a hotel. The place is conveniently located above one of the best restaurants in town, but no noise could be heard. It was amazing!

A few things need maintenance (apartment 3E) - The cattle in the kitchens is broken. As soon as you plug it in and turn it on the fuse in the kitchen blows out. - The kitchen hood does not work. The light turns on but the fan doesn’t. - A few light bulbs were missing / not working - The bed is not that comfortable because it consists of two single beds on wheels, rolling apart from each other

I wish they provide mattress protector for the sofa cum bed as well, since the mattress was a bit dirty, though they provide fresh sheet, it wasn’t a good feeling. But overall all was perfect and we love it. This minor point didn’t trouble our stay.

The view was amazing, the apartment itself is beautifully decorated, minimal but beautiful and the furnitures suit the apartment. I love it all 😘. They are also kind enough to let us check-out late without any discussions. I would love to stay again and again .

It is rather complicated to pay as it’s not done through the app but needs a BACS transfer. 2 very steep flights of stairs to get in. Apartment could do with some maintenance

No air conditioning! The room was VERY HOT (37 degrees) in the afternoon/evening and half of the windows could not be opened as the sash cords were broken.

Very steep stairs with no lighting at night and handrail was sticky. No window to open in lower apartment- unpleasant in hot weather. One bed in loft apartment was poorly made up and had to be remade. Doorbell not working. Coffee makers didn’t seem to work?
