It’s a masterpiece in the world of hospitality! The best hotel I’ve visited! The heritage vibe is just majestic, I felt like in fairytale. Everything was just perfect. Warm Nepali hospitality and attentive attitude towards every detail made my birthday trip really unforgettable! Many thanks from Dubai 🧡

You will need to take a taxi/car to anything, as there is not much around the hotel.

Excellent breakfast. The staff were amazingly willing to help us with everything. Very cold, but refreshing pool!

Breakfast manager and staff there are not welcoming and do not make sure food is regularly replenished. Staff can only force a cold smile and even that is rare. In other hotels staff are very friendly and welcoming- a contrast that one can see with eyes shut. Puri was not made up to standards. Hot food was just tepid. Shower head needs fixing: water goes anywhere else except where needed. Hotel was overrated.

This place is wonderful. The staff were incredibly helpful and polite. We were traveling with a 15-month-old infant, and the hotel staff went above and beyond to assist us. They not only prepared special food for our child but also provided cooking provisions. The atmosphere is tranquil. I highly recommend this hotel, especially the attentive service from Mr. Probin, who made sure our stay was delightful.

Nothing actually, not sure about the location, we were moving by taxi everywhere and anyway in Kathmandu traffic is bad

The style, the furniture, all design is very authentic, we have been told that it is actual previous palace, territory is very good, lake with fish, restaurants, we liked it very much. Stuff is very polite, breakfast is good

It was a shame that both mornings I wanted to used the swimming pool it was being cleaned and I was unable to get a slot at the spa as this was booked out. I do understand that keeping a pool clean in the centre of Kathmandu must be a tough job though.

This is my third stay at this glamorous, historic and lovely hotel. The room was super clean, with elegant furniture and super comfortable bed (though I had a slightly smaller room than usual I was comfortable). The staff as always made us feel right at home; everyone who works here is charming and efficient. The hotel is like a haven away from the daily grind of Kathmandu and a stones throw from good restaurants, shops and the bustle of the city outside the walls of Baber Mahal.

The hotel is highly recommended every corner is special in terms of decoration and elegance it's typical Nepalese culture. You can take nice photoshoot there if you are photo lover like me lool..It feels you are in a special place and it goes back to old time or vintage time . Location in quiet area ,staff friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, and coffee was super.Room is comfortable and tidy bed comfortable. No regrets it's worth it.You have to experience this unique place.

    - Breakfast is not up to 5 star standard. Food is not kept hot, insufficient attention was paid to replenishing food and juice/ Croissants on most days are not fresh. - the breakfast manager just walks around, does not pay attention to the running of the operations and ensure guests have what they need. - Staff's attention to guests is patchy. Staff at breakfast area are not really friendly. They do their job as if it is just a job, not a hospitality business. We did not get a sense of being welcomed. They need to be trained to be smiling, friendly and welcoming to guests. - The traditional dance dinner (cultural dinner) is a let down, just a tourist trap - The shower head does not work well. The water stream goes everywhere but not where you need. - The paintings of ancient figures are on the walls but with no inscription to say who they are, which gives a sense of being just decoration and has nothing to do with history or "heritage"

Quiet even though located next to a busy street. Staff at reception are friendly Swimming pool is clean with a nice surrounding area

The swimming pool was a let down and ideally a pool bar with a larger pool would have been awesome.

The hospitality and staff were excellent including communication in advance of our arrival. The heritage hotel has been refurbished well with lovely spacious rooms yet providing modern amenities. Also great that there were so many dining options
