The place should be condemned. Absolutely stinks. Almost everything is broken. Electricity faults may lead to a death, hopefully the owner !!

I was very disappointed when I arrived at 1.30pm no one around for ages. When the Asian owners arrived the were very rude and tried to give me unit 4 that was already rented out to a group of unsavoury individuals. Then I was moved to unit 5. The unit smelt and was damp. I was uncomfortable with the unsavoury individuals smoking and lying about the doorways in the other units, I felt unsafe travelling and staying there alone. So I left and found alternative accommodation. I would not recommend to any woman travelling alone or even families. This run down motel seems to be a dos house for drug users needing emergency accomodation. Not impressed!!!!! Awful awful place. I would love my money back please.

The servive. The way I was spoken to being told I hadn't paid, when I had. Bathroom basin needed replacing, checked sheets and a dark mark was on one. It appers that they have people living there. I asked for refund and he said I would have to do this through Booking.com. So no refund.

To be honest I arrived, didn't like this motel at all and left.

Being used as an emergency housing motel. Wanted us to pay cash, could not accept cards. Room was disgusting so booked elsewhere. Booking.com should remove this property immediately

Not given room we booked,staff could hardly speak English,no coffee salt etc.rest of motel was emergency accommodation so loud,drunk,no privacy to our room partying outside our room till 2am.next morning asked staff for a couple of sachets of coffee told no that's all you get.very upset by whole experience at the breeze motel.i had had a medical procedure so needed a rest .arrived home exhausted and stressed.Never stay at the breeze it was the worst place we have ever stayed at.

Old, out dated, tired, a relic from the 1970's, dubious cleanliness, in sad need of maintenance, shower tiny and had brown silicone staining around the base, depressing, the most expensive stay on our South Island trip and the worst value for money - $175 for a 1 bedroom unit was poor value. Motel looked as if was used for emergency housing, receptionist grumpy with poor English. Booking,com you are letting your clientele down and you should take this accommodation off your books. It was an absolute dump and photos were misleading. I highly recommend you avoid this accommodation

The person on duty was not at all helpful and the motel seemed to be a bit run down. No tea bags to make a cuppa and no sink to wash dishes in, had to use hand basin in the bathroom, and no tea towel to dry with. Pleased we had only one night there, would not use again.

It was hard to find accommodation in the xmas / new year week so my expectations were not very high. Motel was better than I expected or good value for money.

Man who checked me in put his arm around me and rubbed my back when showing me my room. The same man groped my breast when he later came to my room to show me how to work the television. I had booked for two nights, but left after one night because I didn't feel safe (the man who just touched me inappropriately almost certainly had keys to my room).

The whole unit needed to be thoroughly cleaned top to bottom between guests.For example dust accumulated on light fittings ,back of TV dusty and just about everywhere else. Vertical blinds above kitchen completely useless when closed(half not there) In shower cubicle used soap and shampoo bottle was there(very unhygienic). Hair dryer still sellotaped up and we noticed from a previous guest written back in September 2022. Cobwebs and Fly poop in ceiling light fittings. Microwave not cleaned properly and electric jug urgently needs replacing. Bedside light cover kept falling partially off .Power point between bed and settee I think dangerous and unsafe. One light not working THE FIRST THING TO GREET YOU WAS A VERY STRONG MUSTY SMELL WHICH WAS OVERWHELMING AND AS I DO HAVE A BREATHING PROBLEM SOMEHOW I MANAGED TO GET BY.ANYONE ELSE THAT IS ASTHAMTIC THEY WOULD STRUGGLE WITH THE SMELL. No milk in fridge The proprietors were not that friendly

We never had one of the 2 bedroom units we booked, after I complained we were reimbursed $20 however that did not make up for the inconvenience! The rooms were dirty including the windows inside and out!! The 2 bedroom we did have didn’t have a jug! No way would we ever return nor recommend this motel to any one!!!! Was very disappointing!!!

Dirty, smelly, rude staff. Expected dated facilities from the images but it felt disgusting rather than aged. There was a polystyrene board against the wall and when we looked behind it, there was a door to the next unit’s room.

1) We paid for a room which was supposed to have a kitchenette. When we were allocated a room which didn’t have one I obviously approached the operator and asked why. His answer was simply that “sometimes people get that and sometimes they don’t” and then he tried telling me the toaster and microwave constituted this facility. 2) the tv had Netflix but it didn’t have normal tv. 3) the bathroom window latch was loose so the window was always slightly ajar when the heater was running. 4) the microwave in the room worked fine the first day but then it stopped working inside even though the counter dial would go down. Fearing it was a fire hazard we unplugged it. 5) the kettle had a layer of brown mould on the inside. 6) though we were provided enough towels for our stay those we used were never taken away once.

The tv had Netflix, the location was handy to town, the nightly rate was reasonable, and the room was clean (mostly). We always had enough towels and soap was provided.
