You had to pay by cash, which we haven't planned for and there is no ATM around. The two domes are very close to each other so we could hear the whole time the neighbors talking. p

atypical accommodation in the area which gives it a lot of charm. there are only 2 domes in the lot, maybe a 3rd one on the way. Very comfortable for a romantic night. There is not much to do around as it is along a road. But it's not far away from the Sunset view point. Just the perfect stay to start or end your Balcony walk. there is a heater if you feel cold. bathroom and hot water, and a very comfortable bed.

Very good place to stay near the beginning of the Balcony walk. The host was very helpful giving advices and recommendations about places to go, which was very appreciable. We enjoyed to warm ourselves next to the fire pit at night.

Very quite location. There is only two domes in a dedicated enclosement. Good bed. The staff was helpful and efficient. We have been welcomed with a fire wood outside the dome which was nice for staying outside after the sunset.

The dining experience at Jabal Shams Resort is the reason why we cannot give it a 10/10 rating. We arrived approximately half an hour after the dinner start time, and most of the dishes were already depleted, with very slow replenishment. If you wanted to add, for example, fish to your plate, you had to request assistance from the staff, and the same process had to be repeated for other dishes. Repeatedly asking for refills was not very pleasant. This was not only our case; the same situation occurred with other guests in the dining area. There is definitely room for improvement in this aspect. Otherwise, the food was fine.

Great experience. The domes are located near Balcony Walk. From the domes, you can see the top of Jabal Shams mountain and the surrounding rocks. We stayed in dome No.1, and the room was pretty nice and clean. You can witness both the sunset and the sunrise from a nearby viewpoint. Communication with the owner via WhatsApp was great. Be careful, as it is necessary to pay in cash (we used dollars). I recommend using a 4x4 car to reach this location, as the asphalt road ends before reaching it. For dinner and breakfast, you can visit Jabal Shams Resort, which is just a 2-minute drive from the domes. If you're looking for a nice experience, visit Jabal Shams Domes.

The wash basin install outside the room which is not convenience to use it especially for brush teething. And the bath room do not separate the wet and dry zone.

It is OK for breakfast. About the location is OK. We can site seeing around the resort which I enjoy that but it has just only 2 domes, no reception, no anybody to service (if I need) and it is too quite and fell not lively.

The lamps outside should have been turned off for the night, beacuse they gave too much light, and it was not possible to look at the stars in the darkness.

The domes are very comfortable and the whole place was exceptionally clean. The host was very attentive and helpful. The view from the terrace is beautiful.

Perfectly located domes, just a few minutes drive from the Balcony Walk. The place was clean and cozy. Good contact with the owner. The dinner at the restaurant located nearby was tasty.

I had an amazing experience at Jabal Shams Domes! The management and staff were incredibly supportive and nice, making my stay truly enjoyable. The views were breathtaking adding to the overall wonderful experience.

This was by far the worst accommodation in Oman. The propriety is very small, actually has only two domes, they are very close to the main street (noise ++). There is no reception, so we had to wait more than one hour to get the key. No WIFI. The "receptionist" is a worker which can hardly speak English. At the departure time he didn't want to give me the change, so I had to tell him in this case I will not give the key back. The owner of the place was only to be contacted via What's up but he answered only after a couple of hours. The bathroom is another negative aspect. Better avoid this place!

There is nothing special here... If you would like to experience a poor reception and unprofessional staff, this is the place!

The design is really beautiful and unlike anything we’ve seen before, you could really notice the attention to every detail. Staff was friendly and attentive, Fahd is extremely friendly and went to lengths ensuring our comfort. Loved it!

Food in Jebel Shams resort sucks. The restaurant there serves horrible food, made me sick 2 days until 3rd day I found a local guide to provide home cooked food. Ibrahim jabalshams.4 @ instagram +968 9589 2568 delicious (and very hygenic) home cooked majboos rice DONOT eat at the Jebel Shams resort restaurant their hygiene is very bad. Thankfully there is a coffee shop where u can basic snacks. Otherwise go to SAMA resort just down the road for meals & breakfast.

This is an absolutely amazing place. It was clean, it was posh and all in all the person who was interacting with us was absolutely brilliant. Clear instructions, good dinner, and breakfast. We had no clue about this place, and while on our way, the jebel al shams view point we just happened to see this hotel, and it looked very interesting. The viewpoint is pretty close by too, and the dinner and breakfast are at the jebel al Shams resort. Suhaib was also kind enough to direct us to an ATM in the town below as they accept only cash or PayPal for now. All I'm all we had a fantastic time and highly recommended this super place.
