Amazing hostel. Everyone is super friendly and helpful, theres a lovely family feel; I cannot overstate how kind the owners are. The room is open air which is great for airflow, and there's fans and mosqito nets. Food is amazing; free breakfast is simple but nice and the dinner is incredible. It's really social, but in a nice chilled way, not the crazy party type. They had karaoke, and tons of seats, benches, hammocks etc to chill on, and the free sunrise $$¥¥₩hike was definitely worth doing. Location is great; you get to see more of the jungle part of the island. There's buses here from Da Ong bus terminal in Tagbilaran that drop you right outside the hostel (80P and 1.5hrs journey), its not the most comfortable but otherwise its 1500P for a private tuktuk so just get the bus its not that bad. Hiring a bike is 500P for the day, I'd recommend it as its the most efficient way to get around the island. Most notable attractions are at least 20 minutes away, but there's a nice one day loop you can do to see some waterfalls, Tarsiers, Loboc river and chocolate hills. Overall I had such a great stay here, its definitely worth spending a couple nights here at least.

Hammock hostel has a unique atmosphere, with a very relaxed vibe. They organise various activities, such as family dinners, sunrise hikes, countryside tours, and yoga sessions, making it easy to meet with other travellers. The staffs are very welcoming and helpful. One suggestion: if you plan to drink, opt for a floor bed instead of a hammock bed.

It was quite far away from anything so you’d need to rent a bike to get to a town.

Super social as open plan! Everyone was so friendly. They do a family dinner everynight which is a great way to meet everyone there and is such good value for money. We also did the cooking class there which was the best one I’ve done in Asia. We cooked such good food and came away with handwritten recipe books.

Beaware that the Hostel is in the Nature. Therefore you will maybe come across some geckos and other wildlife, even when the hostel itself is very clean. Especially the geckos and roosters from the neighbourhood will probably wake you up in the morning.

They cook every evening for the guests. Its a really good vegan/vegetarian Buffet for a good price. The Hostel is really close to the chocolat hills. You can also hire a scooter there to explore bohol. Water pressure and other facilities working well.

Little peace of heaven in the middle of Bohol. Surrounded by coconut trees, looked after by the best staff! The vegan dinner is a real treat and the vibes are immaculate. I was lucky enough to get one of the swinging beds. Such an experience to sleep on them!

I had a lovely stay, it's quiet, lots of spots to hang out and relax, comfortable matrass, welcoming staff, the breakfast was delicious and the family dinner is fabulous, even if you're not a vegetarian you're gonna love it. The morning hike to the Chocolate Hills was amazing. And the location is very good, easy to get to other places even if you don't ride a scooter.

To. 한국인 요약: 여기 최고. 추가로 냐옹이들도 대거 출현. The hosts welcomed guests in a warm atmosphere, as if they were family visiting a relative's house, and breakfast and dinner were fantastic. The sleeping place was like the first time I had ever slept in my life, and I loved it. At night, a firefly flew briefly across the ceiling, which was great. There is no need to go on a separate firefly tour. Anyway, everyone was satisfied and the hosts made me want to visit the Philippines again. good memory. they are good people. It's true. I am Korean, I could not speak English fluently. But they understood. 💗💓☺️☺️☺️

Sadly didn’t get to try the famous vegan pancakes as they was out of the mixture, so no breakfast for me as it was just toast and bananas otherwise.

Loved the open air, I was in a cabin so didn’t get a hanging bed but was super comfy and loved waking up in there. Beautiful surroundings. So chilled out.

Really cool property, super great owners/workers, right in nature. I loved it, but no AC, showers were outside, lots of bugs and animals, so just be aware if that bothers you. Free daily hike (about 20mins, easy) to see sunrise over the Chocolate Hills. If you don’t ride motorbikes, you can rent a bicycle. Town (and food/restaurants) is 4km away, so you could walk or bicycle (or take a tricycle), BUT breakfast is free and they have an AMAZING dinner at the hostel for 150 pesos (it is vegetarian/vegan). They also sell snacks and fruit for reasonable prices

It got a bit chilly at night and blankets are thin. I didn’t even ask for an extra one but I’m sure they’d have give it to me. Cats are as adorable as they jump on your bed sometimes, so If you don’t like animals maybe is not your place. Shower is open and cold, but of course you are in nature so what do you expect?

The place is amazing and have such a great energy. The staff is dedicated, happy and you can feel they like what they do. They offer a free 5am hike to see the sunrise, and its absolutely the best way to see the chocolate mountains (I skipped the touristic, I had enough with that). Also free breakfast is pretty good. Dinner at a cheap price is amazing too! The place has quite a few of dogs and cats, and all of them look happy and well treated (not like in most places in the philipines). You sleep on hanging beds, which I never did before and I loved it. Everything is open and natural. And I was surprised on how clean they have everything even tho is in nature. I didn’t even see insects at all! Also, looks like they are thinking on improvements which is great!! I loved everything. It was an experience. I’ll come back!

    Nothing it was all fantastic

The staff cook a meal every night for all guests which you can enjoy for 100 pesos. It’s delicious vegan food and a great way of integrating all of the backpackers. Large social spaces and hammocks were also really nice features. Beds are on the floor in the dorm but fairly comfortable and include a net. I would recommend taking some earplugs for the early morning wake up calls from the cockerels.

    - It’s a little remote and the bus connections aren’t always the best - find some friends and just share a tuk tuk. This isn’t really a negative more just a you should know.

    - Amazing little oasis set in the mountains with an incredible hostel vibe many aim to achieve and few ever do. - Big common area, scooters for hire, simple but everything you need facilities - Tonnes of activities including sunrise hike (100p) yoga (350), cooking class (1000) and soon to start motorbike tours and hopefully some farm tours. Free breakfast and all you can eat vego dinners (150) - finals some vegetables. - Family run operation, the owner/manager is a backpacker and has built it around everything you look for in an experience. The rest of the staff are so friendly, accomodating and sweet. You can see why people constantly extend.
