Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NorwayThe apartment was very cozy and had everything we needed. The interior was very tasteful which I always notice! The location is absolutely perfect, it was in the middle of the center where all the beautiful buildings are around. Highly recommend!

SwedenABSOLUTELY NOTHING. This flat is brilliant. I am almost scared to praise it so much because I am afraid I won't get a chance to book it again. The host is fantastic. When I was in a bind, she was right there with helpful information. English is spoken like a native. If you are coming to Gdansk and you are a couple, you need to book this flat, stat. Just one minor point. You need to not mind walking up four flights of stairs. We didn't, but some might want to know there is no elevator.
What did I like? Goodness. Where to even begin?! This apartment is an absolute find. I had to pinch myself several times to believe I was in such a gorgeous location in the old town with a fabulous view, a fantastic kitchen with everything you need - including a refreshing welcome drink waiting in the fridge. Everything is perfect for a couple to enjoy a break in Gdansk / Sopot. There is paid parking an easy amble 200 meters away and super convenient - considering parking in the old town requires a residence permit - or at least that's what we were told when we drove onto Ul. Szeroka by the policewoman controlling traffic. I think this might have been unique to our visit because workers were building dozens of little huts for the upcoming St. Dominic's Fair on the street where we should have been able to park by paying for a ticket (aside: the Fair looks to be incredible considering the amount of work they put into preparing for it). If you will be in Gdansk during the Fair you really could not ask for a more perfect location this this apartment. It's on the 4th floor (top floor) so you are high enough from the street to avoid the noise with the windows closed, but the main thoroughfare of the Fair is literally outside the gate! What a treat! But we're not done with the praise. Both my partner and I are foodies and we LOVED the restaurants on the street. We enjoyed gorgeous steaks at La Pampa Steakhouse, delicious breakfast out on the street at Tekstylia, superb Asian cuisine at SheroKa and divine Indian at Shanti (who very kindly let us in to eat 15 minutes before the kitchen closed at 10.30pm on our return from Sopot). Just around the corner is the Gdansk Bazar, and if you love fresh fruit and veg, you are going to be in heaven. Inside the building adjacent on the lower floor is every possible kind of deli cuisine. Perfect. Can't wait to come back.

United KingdomThe apartment was very hot due to being summer and a top floor apartment, but there was an air con/fan plug in we found in a cupboard and this helped cool the apartment down. The apartment is on the 4th floor with no lift, not a bother for us but worth mentioning for others.
Beautiful apartment in the Old Town of Gdansk. Walking distance to all main attractions. The apartment is small, but wonderfully decorated and laid out. Great communication with Agnes, easy check in and out. Great amenities, cleaning products, condiments and some alcohol free beer and water in fridge for our arrival.

United KingdomSofa and bed were so uncomfortable the pillows were lumpy and I struggled to sleep for 3 out of the 4 nights we stayed. That combined with the curtain not covering the whole window and letting all the street light in was a bit annoying The boiler kept tripping whilst in their which meant the water went freezing whilst taking a shower easy enough to sort by flipping the main fuse box up but still shouldn’t have to do that whilst taking a shower
Really cute flat, really modern and on the top floor so had a good view of the buildings. Perfect location to the Christmas markets Kitchen had all you needed
