Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

EstoniaEverything was perfect!
Best ever place we've been. Carefully restored manorhouse with stylish furniture. All details were added with spirit. And how friendly was personal, We were welcomed like old friends. We were only guests this night, walked through beautiful rooms of manorhouse, lokked at and read books in library. And everywhere with us were some of owners five friendly dogs. We arrived bit earlier as we had promised. Rather owner started to make dinner and offered coffee. Next morning we walked in park and sorroundings. Amazing! What a views! Owner talked much about restoration of manorhouse and establishing baroque park and garden. We ate apples and berries in the garden, walked with owner ant his dogs in the park and listened stories. Thank you, Piotr for this wonderful night and morning! It's miracle what you've done there during 25 five years - from ruins you have established a paradise! And manufacture of ceramics, so beautiful masterpieces. We recommend this place to everyone. And try to be as minimum two nights. Dziękuję! We'll try to come back.

AustraliaLoved every bit of it.
You really are staying in a palace. Explore the grounds, enjoy a wine. Dinner was good and is a must. Breakfast is vast. The dogs are great if you miss your pooch.

GermanyThe only thing we missed was a fridge in the room (although this would have likely spoiled a bit the flair, which could explain why there was none).
A wonderful experience with an outstanding owner of the castle, who not only personally greeted us and gave a tour of the castle, but also personally served breakfast. The castle has been excellently renovated and the interior, the gardens and the whole flair is wonderfully reconstructed/preserved. According to the owner, the real lords of the castle are the four swiss hound dogs, who are very calm and cool about the guests. The rooms are very spacious, equipped with authentic looking furniture and surprisingly sound-proof for such an old building. The bed, despite it's old, but not worn looks, was very comfortable and we slept like babies. The breakfast offered numerous delicacies, there was a wonderful castle garden with beautiful pond and a hedge maze. And there was even Internet via WiFi.

Lithuania-
This magical place. Lovingly and professionally restored manor, charming owner. Every room is different. You can sit in romantic terrace and listen to the birds of the old park, you can sit in a bibliothek and dream about being Count of Nakomiady. All the guests we have met, were coming every year here. This place is a rare gem! Did I mention dinner where you sit together with all guests around big table and can share the stories you experienced during the day.

BelgiumOne word of caution: to avoid any misunderstaning (or disappointment) when ordering wine, make first sure whether you will be charged by glasses or the whole bottle.
A truly unique place, with a lot of character and charm! A great mansion, painstakingly and stylishly restored, and very well maintained. We were absolutely enchanted by the beauty of the palace surrounded by the immense park area with old trees and wonderful flowers, with little gardens and orchards. We really liked every minute of our stay in the Nakomiady Palace: from the first evening when we were served a delicious dinner composed of a great selection of traditional Polish dishes, accompanied by superb wine, very well matched with the meal, and finished with a perfect dessert. We enjoyed very intetersting and inspiring talks with Mr Piotr, the owner as well as our walks along the paths and alleys perfectly arranged around the palace. We also loved the buffet breakfast with a variety of tasty cold meats, sausages, cheeses, breads, fruit and cakes. We slept in a very elegant bedroom with a beautiful view at the park trees and greenery.

GermanyAll perfect- unless you are scared of dogs or silence….
Perfect building, gardens, food, dogs, rooms- everything. Unbelievable that this has come back from "ruins"! Piotr is a perfect host, fully dedicated to what he is doing, to the palace, the landscape, the surrounding sights. We were simply flashed by this calm and relaxing spot in Mazury.
