How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Maybe a really small kitchen, but it wasn't a problem, because there are not many people in the hostel

Some decor is needed at the WC and shower rooms.
Proprietor at property reception is an plus. He attends your needs at the earliest time possible. Good kitchen to enjoy the meal you cook 😀

I just missed the hair dryer in the bathroom.
Very central location, which we enjoyed. The accommodation has everything you would need, super clean and smells fresh despite being in an older building. We had the good fortune of a room for two.

Thin walls (noise coming from other rooms and from the street). No lock in storage for personal items/ bags. Limited ammount of electric sockets. Thin pillow (had a feeling of having my head on the mattress). No towels included.
The location right next to the old town. Close to the bus stop. Clean room and comfy bed. Easy to check-in and check-out process. Good communication with the hostel staff. Easy to find. Good Wi-Fi connection.

Great location friendly check in and extremely clean great bathroom shower and kitchen. There is everything you would need with the old town of Lublin just a few hundred metres away. Highly recommended and very cost effective

Guests need to learn etiquette, if you are up early, pack the night before. Just have something about you. Not the hostels fault.

A small detail, but it would be nice to supply tea bags/coffee/sugar in the kitchen.
Very comfortable stay, centrally located. Take The dorm was actually 3 single, comfortable beds with lovely sheets and towels in a spacious bedroom. We were just women in my room. There is no host present, instructions being posted for the door codes and key box. Great location in the historical centre. The bus and train station are together about 3 kms to town. Take bus #1, 5, 22, 24, 52, or DL.

I was absolutely satisfied with the place, it absolutely met all of "my" needs. The only thing I was a bit nervous about, is that there are no lockers to put my stuff during the day -- BUT -- I simply locked my laptop in my suitcase. For people who are looking to "socialize", it would not be really possible to "meet other travellers" unless they are staying in your room. For me, I was well-rested at the end, so it was exactly what I wanted & needed.
Rodmos Hostel is an easy bus ride from Lublin Train Station & just on the edge of the bustling city center. It was exceptionally clean & comfy. Great beds! The room was spacious. The bathrooms & shower were absolutely spotless clean! The owner is very-very-very easy to get ahold of -- he allowed me to keep my bad there after check-out. There's a small kitchen & fridge for breakfast stuff, quick meals -- and Zabka convenience store right next door! I had a few online meetings -- I was able to easily arrange those around the schedule of my room-mates & the place was quiet. Bathroom was down the hallway, easy to manage around "other people's schedules" (two toilets & one shower). It was fairly easy to check in (black box keys -- simply follow the instructions the owner provides... it's really not that hard, despite other's comments!) & the hallway outside the Hostel in the building is well-lit. I was absolutely satisfied. One night there was some noise outside our window, but I asked them to "stop partying" & they respected that. I would most definitely stay there again in the future!

It is a little apartment, so in the crowded times it may be a little small for everyone, but except that everything was great 😄.
The room, beds, bathroom, kitchen, everywhere were so clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen was tidy and useful for making nearly every kind of food. Bathroom and toilets were also clean and tidy. Location is great, right in the center; you can walk everywhere, bus stop is also so close, like 30 seconds of walking. The manager was so friendly and kind. I can recommend this place ☺️.
