The hostess that greeted us at reception was lovely. The cabanas were very comfortable. The beds made for a good nights sleep! The rocking chairs on the deck were relaxing!

Jorge is a fantastic host and made sure we were comfortable during our stay. He helped organise taxis for our hikes and gave us excellent recommendations. The cabanas were probably the best accommodation on the island and we had a very comfortable stay. The outdoor patio was particularly peaceful with sounds of birds chirping and lots of greenery around. We could park our car for free. There was restaurant on site (with great views of Mount Pico) which was open for dinner and that was an additional advantage as we didn’t need to step out in the evening.

Lovely and quiet with the most comfortable bed we’ve experienced in our travels around the islands. The owner is an absolute gentleman, went out of his way to make a special birthday even more special! Thank you again Jorge. Very useful to have the on site dining option too, with a charming smiley waitress to brighten your day😍

Breakfast was really good, but it was the same limited selection and it can get monotonous after more than 2 days.

Great, climatic place with absolutely great service and staff. For us, it was better than expected. Also good location as a starting point for visiting rest of the island. I'd definitely rent again if/when visiting Sao Jorge again. PS. Someone mentioned it's too dark, but I it has been fixed when we were there with additional little lamps along the way.

Everything was amazing

This accommodation is one of many reasons why I am looking forward to coming back to São Jorge. We could see that it was important to Jorge to present the place in a good light and it was indeed a very pleasant experience to be there. Everything was great and I have no regrets about choosing Cabanas da Viscondessa for our stay.

Restaurant was on hotel grounds, but was a separate business…service was awkward and inconsistent, but the food was good.

The cabins truly felt like home and backed to the beautiful green Azorean forest right from your private balcony. Loved the complete layout and enjoyed the living room.

Nice spacious houses, perfect for a small getaway. Has anything you'd need included. Very nice host and a great location on the island. Having an awesome small restaurant, Zefyr Cafe, right on the same plot is a great bonus!

Breakfast very good for 2-3 days afterwards a bit monotonous. But you can use the Kitchen in the Studios and enjoy the great terrasse. Really nice owner of the Cabins. Best restaurant on the island, (french cook ;) )

What an amazing place! Everyone we encountered in and around the Cabanas was fantastic! The cabana was beautiful and had everything we needed, including all the right kitchen supplies to cook several meals. It's a beautiful place with interesting history, an incredible view, and a wonderful restaurant on site, and I know they'll continue to provide a comfortable and welcoming space for anyone lucky enough to stay with them. And I just can't say enough about the team! We feel like we left Sao Jorge with new friends (Felipe!!) and we absolutely can't wait to return.

There was minimal lighting in the living and dining areas making it impossible to read a book, play cards or a box game, or make a puzzle even though this would have been a perfect setting for those activities. Very disappointing.

This is a little piece of heaven hidden in the forest not far from the airport. The grounds and the cabanas are absolutely gorgeous. It was wonderful to have a sitting room, dining area, kitchen, and deck to relax in. Good restaurants are nearby. Delicious and generous breakfast and a welcome snack. Need a car.

Our expectations were met or exceeded in all regards. We would love to see a firepit or some type of water feature to beat the heat and sun bathe. We actually spoke to the manager about her desires to add something in the future. It's not a complaint, just a way to make this place even more amazing and take advantage of the natural beauty of the property.

Location is ideal if you have your own car and intend to use the on site meal services or you have some provisions to make some light fare in the unit kitchens. Cabins are quiet, have wonderful views and are surrounded by nature while still being accessible to the main towns. The fit and finish of the grounds is wonderful. Cabins are very modern like an Eco-spa may have including air conditioning, private decks and kitchens.

We absolutetly loved our stay in Cabanas da Viscondessa! Extraordinary attention to details to make you feel welcome. The room has an amazing view into the forest and in the restaurant area you can see Pico when the weather is nice. The breakfast is amazing with local products. The best part of our stay, however, were Cabanas employees. Special tribute to Bob, Nibedita and Patrícia, who made our visit to Azores so much more memorable. Bob and Nibedita hosted an anniversary dinner with a surprise which warmed our hearts so much! Their generosity is really inspiring, they will stay forever in our hearts. Thank you so much for everything!
