Very clean and tidy. The location is perfect, just next to the pier and the center of Madalena. The breakfast was great: a wide variety of products with great quality.

The room and especially the bathroom felt dated and could use a good make-over to bring it more up-to-date with modern expectations. Reception staff friendliness was a bit hit-or-miss. Overall it was a good choice for a one-night stay.

The hotel is in an ideal location if you plan to arrive or depart by boat, as the ferry terminal with services to Faial and São Jorge is right across the street. We arrived in the early morning from São Jorge and left the next morning for Horta. Other locations like restaurants and car rental locations are also within easy walking distance. We were able to store our luggage after arriving early. The room itself was fine, decently sized with a balcony and a well-functioning air-conditioning. The breakfast was large with many different options, but was a bit hectic overall. There is also a pool, though due to time constraints we were unable to use it.

early check-in was only at 1600. I find it too late as many come with ferry and then have to wait to check-in. I recommend that you allowed to pre-check-in and at least you can then go to the bar at the pool side and wait for 1600.

I liked that the rooms where clean and did not smell of damp as the islands have a problem of damp due to the weather and sea. I also liked that the bathroom was well stocked is toiletries and clean.

Air conditioning and tv not functioning, and staff could only reply with ‘probably due to weather’ but did not bother to investigate or offer to assist.

Hotel was well located for the marina and town centre. Property was dated but clean and tidy. Bowl of fruit delivered was a lovely touch.

The building is big, concrete, impersonal and ugly. Our wing was facing the other hotel wing, our big balcony was directly opposite the other balconies, I had the strange impression that somebody was spying on me :)). Staff don't make too much efforts to satisfy their guests. It's not worth a 4 star, more like a 3 star. Very expensive for this quality.

We chose this hotel in the heart of Madalena just because we had no car for our first day in Pico. The hotel location is excellent, right next to the ferry terminal. The other characteristics are very correct: big room, comfortable bad, nice bathroom, tasty breakfast. We were very pleased to find a basket with fruits in our room!

The hallway rug looked like it could use an upgrade but the hotel lobby and our room were well maintained.

Room was clean and comfortable. Shower was great. Very nice breakfast included with a good variety. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Good central location around the corner from the Madalena town square. Walking distance to several restaurants and the harbour.

The gym they have there wasn't open (at least when we went there during the afternoon). Its a shame since we had a few hours to kill during the rain so it could have been nice if it was open. Unfortunately the mattresses weren't the most comfortable, and there was no safe in the room.

Great location! Comfortable room overall, great AC, good and clean bathroom. Very good breakfast. We arrived in the morning and they had rooms ready so they let us check in earlier and it really made our day after the long trip we have had.

It looks a bit outdated, but nothing disturbing.

Location - in the city center, close to the harbour. Very good tasty breakfast. We had a nice surprise in the afternoon - received a basket with fruits - thanks! Room - clean & a small balcony - we had Pico view :) Professional friendly staff - good support with booking a taxi for us in the morning to the airport.

Bad smell (sewage) in the bathroom during all my stay there. Run down Reception and pool area. Mould everywhere on the walls. Dining room area was so-so. Dirty carpets in the corridore 3rd.floor and in the bar area.
