Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaWe had to leave before breakfast, asked reception but no other solution, wish there was a takeaway box like juice and bread etc.
Not too far from the metro station, some local cafe and shops around. 24hour reception if you have problems. Lift for people has mobility issue.

RomaniaThe beds are small for 2 adults. I think 1.4 m and the sound isolation inside the hotel and from outside it's not the best. The breakfast is limited but for 1-2 nights it's enough.
The room was small but clean. The same for the bathroom. It's a decent 3* hotel in an old building.

HungarySometimes there is no running water but only for short periods of time, the hotel usually fixes it very quickly.
The staff was exceptional at the reception! Super kind and helpful, they were assisting us in a very early check-out as well and called us a taxi for the airport. The room and the facility was good for this value so can't complain. And the hotel is easy to reach from the airport.

PolandWhatever happens do not eat the sausage during breakfast. The room was small. There was a window but it overlooked a murky and narrow inner courtyard. AC was working but it smelled as if somebody put smoken butts inside so for the first night it was hard to sleep as we tried to keep the room cool by opening the window and switching on the AC.
The place is fine in Lisbon for its price. It's located in sort of an Indian district and there's plenty of affordable places to eat all around. The reception is open 24/7 with staff being really helpful. The subway station is just besides the hotel and goes straight to the heart of Alfama

AustraliaWalls were pretty thin, we could hear the man next door going to the bathroom and being sick. But other than that it was ok to sleep
It was a bed to sleep. The first girl at reception was amazing! Super helpful, second one not so much. Came with breakfast included which was great.

LuxembourgThey could take off the bedroom carpet and change the furniture which was old and partially "broken" at least in our room. I believe the bathroom could use an update. Or at least fix some of it.

PortugalThis hotel came as nice surprise, with a very decent discount that made the choice easy. The room was well kept, clean, spacious enough, and the bed very confortable. We also had a balcony, however with no street view (first floor, nothing to complain about). AC was very good and really needed as during our stay, the temperatures during the day were close to 40ºC. There was a mini-fridge, also useful to keep some liquids fresh. Breakfast was ok, there was some variety and everything quite fresh. People were nice, check-in and check-out were super fast and easy. Metro station just 250 meters away on foot, very practical. It was also quiet during the night, no noise from outside. Overall, a very good spot in central Lisbon and the price-quality ratio couldn't be better.

AustraliaVery small rooms, OK for a couple of nights but any longer would feel claustrophobic. Coffee machine in room but guests have to buy their own coffee pods. Better with a kettle and tea and coffee sachets for the money you pay they should provide pods. Location is questionable the general area is dirty and not family friendly if you have young children.
Staff were friendly enough however observing them especially reception during the day they kept leaving the desk having a cigarette right outside the front door not very nice for guests to see. The lady doing breakfast was good she was alone and was so busy but she did a great job.
