What we did not really like was that we only had one small sheet to share, with unwashed thicker blankets on top. But this is really common in Madeira (6 of our 8 accommodations in Madeira had this).

Warm shower. Nice balcony. Uncomplicated check in and check out. The location is really central, restaurants, bars, shops and attractions all walkable nearby.

The shower is very spacious but the surface is very slippery and there is no anti slip mat provided so I rate it as a definite health & safety hazard. I requested that a mat be provided but none was forthcoming. The pillows were not great so I did not sleep well despite it being a lovely bed and quiet area.

The location is brilliant and it is very quiet at night so you sleep well. The kitchen is small but well equipped and perfectly good enough for making a sandwich and a cup of tea.

I have experienced one downside, hence points down - you can hear your neighbours a lot.

Perfect choice for solo travelling and a longer stay. The location is amazing, central and close to everything :) The house as well as the apartment is beautiful and well maintained. The balcony is a nice bonus that I really enjoyed. Apartment's orientation keeps it quiet despite a very central location.

Would have liked a cafetiere but minor thing

Very clean. Good communication and easy check-in. Central to all sights but also quiet. Airport bus stop few minutes walk. Appreciated aircon and filtered water refill dispenser.

Apartment is very nice, you will find here everything you need during your stay in Funchal. Location in the middle of old city, so quiet outside. The stuff is very helpful, thank you Jose for keeping us another room due to flight cancellation. Highly recommend.

Couldn’t find a better located place to stay. It was close to all attractions, in the heart of Funchal. Friendly and very nice staff. We’ve got many additional towels. It was spotless clean and surprisingly quiet place. Very comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, nice balcony. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you :)

The address provided on Booking.com is not correct so I had some difficulty locating the building as it was around the corner. Communications could also be a bit simpler as I kept getting a message by email to give my check in details. As it was the same message each time I did not scroll to the bottom where I would have seen additional, added information about the building access code and then in further messages a request to go downstairs to pay. This just needs to be made more clear. Thank you.

It's an excellent location and just could not be better. We had a room at the back of the building which had a lovely sunny terrace which was like having a great outside living room. The compact kitchen had all we needed, the bed was super comfy and the bathroom very spacious. All was very very clean.

A real sweetheart of a property with a fantastic location close to Cathedral and Marina. It is a small unit (smaller than appears in photos) best suited to short stays, but it's very well-outfitted and squeaky clean. We stayed new years eve when the city is exceptionally noisy but being on the back of the building and with the thick walls, the room was delightfully quiet. Highly recommend.
