Food could have been better.

Marvellous staff, wonderful views and swimming pools. Plus, we watched a whale pass by as we sat on our balcony, overlooking the sea, drinking complimentary champagne.

When we entered the Albatroz we were immediately captivated by the breathtaking view of the sea from the lobby. The natural pool is truly stunning and has direct access to the sea. Every dip was a moment of relaxation, adding to the hotel's overall sense of tranquillity. The restaurant exceeded our expectations with its delicious cuisine. Every meal was a culinary delight, complemented by impeccable service from the friendly staff who anticipated our every need. Here we found the perfect blend of natural beauty and luxury, creating memories that will stay with us long after we leave. We'll be back! :))

Superb location, the grounds, comfortable beds and fantastic restaurant, where the food is out of this world! The staff are incredible and nothing is too much trouble for them, especially those who have moved from larger, more famous hotels.

Pool and some of the other outdoor facilities looked quite battered.

Friendly staff. Greating with fresh fruits, pastries and sparkling wine. Well equipped gym. Beautiful garden and ocean view. Delicious and various breakfast with freshly made omelette. Close to the airport but not too noisy. Airport shuttle available.

Very friendly and guest-oriented staff who do their best to make us feel at home. The hotel grounds are well maintained and green. The outdoor pool is heated to a comfortable temperature. The ocean pool offers a magnificent panoramic view of the ocean and Santa Cruz bay. Breakfast and dinner were incredible. Thank you for a lovely stay. Everything was 10/10.

Location is slightly odd but still quite conveniently located, only minutes away from Santa Cruz town centre where there are plenty amenities.

Due to the location nearing the airport, it smells gasoline quite often, which is a bit worrying. Access to public transportation is difficult, hence renting a car is a good way to go about. Room decor is quite dated.

The hotel is in a quiet location, not too many guests made the stay very comfortable. The sea swimming pool is great, and also access to sea swim as well. Rooms are big albeit decor is somewhat dated. Breakfast and dinner in front of the sea is unique. Everything is very good.

My stay was absolutely incredible, but what truly stood out was their breakfast. Each morning, I was greeted with a feast for the senses. The breakfast spread was not only delicious but also exquisitely presented, featuring a diverse array of fresh fruits, pastries, and hot dishes. The first thing that struck me about the Albatroz Beach & Yacht Club was its breathtaking location. My stay at the Albatroz Beach & Yacht Club in Madeira was an extraordinary experience. The combination of the stunning location, luxurious accommodations, outstanding dining, and exceptional staff made it a trip to remember. If you're looking for a place to unwind, rejuvenate, and soak in the beauty of Madeira, I can wholeheartedly recommend this gem of a hotel. I can't wait to return to the Albatroz and create more wonderful memories in this paradise by the sea.
