Had to pay to park, although €8 per day wasn't too bad. Pool bar was closed (April). Glass divider for bathroom was ok for us but others may not like it.

While the staff were great and helpful, they seemed a little understaffed at the time of our check in. We had to go downstairs a couple times following to get a new key as it wouldn't work.

Quiet old stuff in room, not damaged...but deserve renovation Breakfast was horrible- food which have to be supposedly hot, was cold...every day the same, bread not always fresh, the coffee from thermos, not looking fresh The workers on reception, should have more drive and the elevator often not working well. About parking for 8e per day,not gonna talking... As a smoker I used as an ashtray coffee cup on balcony..super they clean a keep me there the cup for cigarettes 😃 no one had an idea to put there the original ashtray 🙈 The main corridors was a bit dirty. Was disappointed, was waiting something better.

The breakfast room didn't have a view and pretty aggressive light, so it wasn't the best start to the day. The view out of the room also was onto a side street that had a bar, which meant that there were loud people on the street late at night keeping us up.

The room was beautiful, very spacious and really great bed.

The shower/toilet/bathroom was divided with a fully glassed door with no sound proof. Could be done with some optional blurred glass.

It's not immediately clear how to enter the parking lot. The SIXT sign and the barrier were misleading. There is no hotel sign at the entrance to the parking lot. Paid parking for hotel guests.

Were in February 2024. At check-in we were pleasantly surprised that we were given a bigger room. The room had large, panoramic windows with a very nice view of the ocean. Breakfast was simple in a room with no windows. There are lots of stores and restaurants nearby.

It was on the main street, which was quite noisy. You could use the air conditioner, but it was a bit loud. Bathroom was also somewhat dated.

Comfortable and sizable room, great views of the ocean, many good restaurants in the neighborhood and public transport nearby...loved the swimming pool as well!

Cleanliness .was poor on arrival . Apartment hadn't had the best clean between changeover ,could be improved ie bathroom .scum round tap , shower screen marked , tiles had scum . Floor throughout apartment dusty and dirty . We missed having our room cleaned a couple of times but that was down to us wanting not to be disturbed whilst sunbathing .

The only downside in our room was that the bathroom division was all glass so you couldn't have much privacy. We already knew it beforehand but if you are expecting a place to stay were you could easily walk to the historic center of Funchal this is not the place to stay. This area is not the easiest to find parking and the hotel park was quite expensive compared to the other parks around Funchal.

The room was really comfortable, clean and big. The staff was excellent. The pool area was really cozy, we went to the pool twice during our stay and we were the only people there apart for some people at the roof top bar. The staff was very friendly too. Breakfast was excellent and had a lot of variety.

The hotel looked very fancy but was not practical at all. Our first room was really dark, we couldn’t open the curtains without being seen even if we booked a room with a terrace. Some of the staff at breakfast was amazing someone was totally careless.

Staff al the front desk was very kind and helpful, especially Sofia who helped us to enjoy our stay. The breakfast was good.

The flat pillows. We did kindly receive another set after mentioning it to the staff, but it did not did the trick. But this is a personal preference. The bathroom was not very clean. It needed a full clean. Although the staff was kind and very hardworking.

The location: close to supermarkets, bus stops en shops. Private parking at the hotel. A must as parking space is limited in the area. The room: spacious with a nice balcony. The swimming pool and relax area on the rooftop. Breakfast was okay, basic and with all the essentials. For a stay of a week it may lack variety.
