Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing really although property is very isolated and accessing it was not too easy via a car. On site restaurant could have benefitted from a bit more choice.
Whole ambience of property including views from terrace were exceptional. Very nice breakfasts. Winery tours included. Staff were very friendly and efficient.

United KingdomThe drive up and down was a bit scary for us not use to hairpin bends, a manual car and driving on the other side of the road!
It was beautifully located and so peaceful and relaxing. The food and wine were excellent.

United StatesMy husband and I spent three nights at Quinta da Côrte and had an exceptional time. This Quinta is the perfect blend of authenticity and modern luxury and the view from the property is among the best in the Douru. The food was excellent too for a good price. The only caution I’d recommend is for nervous drivers — the drive up and down the hill to the Quinta is quite daunting!! You might consider hailing a taxi.

United StatesNothing.
The location is wonderful with an amazing view, and the building and interior are beautifully done. There is a lovely path through the vineyard to the swimming pool, and the wine making facilities and tasting room are equally serene and welcoming. The staff was extremely helpful, particularly since our rental car’s GPS sent us to the middle of the neighboring vineyard and we were stuck. They

United KingdomNothing. Suggestions would be to have a wider bar selection for cocktails/pre dinner drinks etc. The walks through the vineyards are lovely but signage needs updating. But these did not at all detract from a wonderful stay.
The location is spellbinding. High above the terraces, incredibly quiet and tranquil, with fabulous views. Very friendly and accommodating staff - nothing too much trouble. Food on site is lovely and wines are good too! Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The wine tasting provided was excellent. It doesn't have the range of food, drinks and facilities that full service hotels offer - it is more simple and authentic, but makes up for it with comfort, peace, quiet and the beauty of the location. Its an authentic, high quality Duoro valley experience.

AustraliaThe property is beautifully designed and set high amongst the vineyards close to Pinha. We had 3 wonderful days drinking in a spectacular view, eating fabulous food and enjoying the Quinta da Corte red and white wine. The room was beautiful; comfortable and charming with touches of traditional Portugal particularly with the hand crafted tiles in the bathroom. Guests were welcome to have coffee and cake at any time in the main house. The concept of relaxed luxury was pitch perfect.

United StatesThe views from the patio overlooking the valley were magical. A truly spectacular setting with a breathtaking infinity pool with another view over the valley with terraced vineyards as far as you can see. They offer informative tours regarding the vineyard operation along with wine tasting. The staff was warm and welcoming and you can walk the grounds. The location is way up on a hillside so once there, it’s a bit of a trek to go back to town, but an amazing place and well worth the drive to get there. Once there, we loved the quiet and sense of being in a world apart. We’d highly recommend the experience.

United KingdomThis was my our second visit. We were just as mesmerized a second time. Quinta de Corte is calmly sophisticated. Its charm is how relaxed it makes you feel, so effortless and all in the most stunning location. We enjoyed the meals, walking in the vineyards and relaxing by the infinity pool.

United StatesWhat a special place. We stayed three nights at Quinta Da Corte as part of our honeymoon in Portugal, and it was a true highlight. The Duoro Valley is breathtaking, and Quinta Da Corte is in a great location to take in the views. The space – designed by Pierre Yovanovitch – is so beautifully designed that every single room, hallway, piece of furniture and art is an absolute treat. The staff also does a great job of cultivating a communal experience. All meals are served at a shared dining table, which we were initially skeptical of. That skepticism was gone about two minutes into our first meal. By the end of our stay, we had made Portuguese, British and Norwegian friends who we shared stories, jokes, cheers, travel recommendations, and Instagram handles with. Not to mention, the food served was delicious and in keeping with traditional Portuguese dishes and techniques. We will absolutely be back and would recommend to anyone!
