    Nothing

The atmosphere, the rooms, the service (esp Jessica who took care of us during dinner and breakfast), the beautiful compound, the view of olive trees and little orange/lemon orchard, the restaurant. Food was superb!

Nothing. Our stay could not have been better!

Our stay at Quinta do Santo exceeded our expectations by far. It is a farm which had been recently refurbished and the rooms are just beautiful, modern and harmonious. Breakfast was very good and in a cosy and personal atmosphere at the Quinta, all other services were at the hotel Convento do Espinheiro which is very close. The facilities there are beautiful, the historical part is incredible and their reception team was outstanding, in particular Liliane and her colleague Matteo. They booked great dinners for us and gave very knowledgeable advice about Evora and the surroundings and booked a fantastic private wine tasting for us at Mainova. It was perfect and the wines were very good as well as their olive oil. Highly recommend Quinta do Santo and Convento do Espinheiro, would stay there again any time.

    I have nothing but positive.

Design details, history, breakfast, staff go out of their way and take pride in the property. Beautifully appointed and comfortable.

It was a little bit warm inside the room as the cooling is inside the floor, but the staff was very helpful.

It’s beautifully designed and we were very lucky as not many rooms were booked when we visited. The rooms are luxurious and spacious, and offered everything you need for a comfortable stay. The landscape around the property was stunning, full of olive and citrus trees. It was quiet and tranquil - a perfect escape from the city! There was plenty of food for breakfast, fresh every day and we also enjoyed a nice dinner at the restaurant. We would definitely stay again :)

Didn’t like that in the description it claimed to have a restaurant on site and breakfast. We didn’t have a car, as it is only a short Uber drive from the train station to the hotel, but you have to check in to their main hotel (also was not mentioned in the description) which is a 15 minute walk from the actual farm house rental. We asked is they could transport us with our heavy bags (it’s a country gravel road) and they said no but could take our bags. So basically, in what felt a little bit of the middle of no where (which is what we wanted), we thought we were going to have access to breakfast and lunch and dinner at our location, but we did not and had to walk every time. Not the biggest inconvenience but it was extremely hot and one day it rained hard. So it wasn’t ideal. Especially for the price, and especially since they would not offer room service either. This probably could have been fixed if they updated their description as then our expectations would have been different or we would have picked a different place. Also there was a leak in the roof on the main floor after a shower was taken, but the biggest thing I would suggest is to get a water cooler or filtration system as there was just two very small glass bottle of water for us which was not enough and walking big glass bottles from the main hotel was heavy and not ideal. It would be more economical and there would be less recycling to deal with with a water tower or filtration system. Also keep in mind alentejo is very hot and dry so you need more water, especially if you have to walk all the time to eat in the hot sun.

Gorgeous setting just outside of town immersed in nature and agricultural land. Was very peaceful and other than missing a coffee table and outdoor seating (originally the photos showed outdoor space, but it was not set up for us)it was well equipped for comfort.

we had the misfortune of going when the caretaker was on time off. i think the experience would have been totally different if there was actually staff on the property. this seems to be a satellite of convento do espineihro and it felt like they had no interest in it at all. it was a little frustrating to pay so much money and feel completely ignored on an otherwise beautiful property. for drinks or any snacks we had to walk 5 minutes up to the convento. totally takes away a lot from the experience. we only stayed two nights so they had not much opportunity to impress us.

the setting was gorgeous, the design of the facilities was beautiful, spectacular shower, delightful pool.
