Just a few things stopped it from being perfect It is perhaps important for prospective guests to understand that Santa Antonio run a number of villas and the one allocated may not have the view shown in the photograph. Ours didn't and although it was a sea view it was a little disappointing compared to the photo. There was a bedside light missing from the double bedroom There was no cloth to wipe the kitchen worktops although there was a jumble of used cloths in a cupboard which had been used for who knows what.

This is a high quality spacious villa, very nicely furnished and tastefully decorated..The seating indoors is comfortable and we enjoyed spending time in the living area when the weather was not so good We enjoyed having the sunny balcony , the ground floor terrace and the roof terrace . The balcony has table, chairs and a parasol. The terraces both have loungers. The shared pool is good. It is a fairly steep uphill walk back from the restaurants in the village but ok if you are reasonably fit.This villa should have been a perfect ten but for a few small niggles .

The stairs were ridiculous!! If you can’t do stairs don’t book here, they’re everywhere and hard to bring in the luggage!! Thank goodness my husband is strong!! Also if you don’t have a car it’s down down down the hill to get to Salema at the bottom. Then climbing up the hill! The property was spacious but, everything was quite dated! For over 200.00 Canadian a night in Portugal, you’d expect something a bit more upto date as far as furnishings go!

Althought the cleaners were good I felt apot should be gleaned daily. The pool area great but shame the bar/ cafe area all closed up & some areas around pool need repairs & taped off.

All good.. lovely villa & beautiful view. We loved the quality barbecue provided. Loved eating area by kitchen & relaxing second terrace. Fabulous quiet pool.

Beds a bit uncomfortable, middle hallway window downstairs needs a blind. Pool tiles need maintenance. At one point possibly a place to get snacks and drinks but was all closed up.

For the price I would expect the kitchen to ne better equiped, as we cooked most our meals there. Its mird geared to people who eat out. But it was adequate

Great location, amazing views from the balcony/terrace. Very comfortable living arrangements. Pool was great, we could always get a sun bed and it was very clean and well looked after. Sergio on reception was very helpful.

There is much to recommend, and it's a pretty good value, but the amenities that would make it a five-star experience are lacking. It may depend on which villa you are assigned, but ours had worn furniture, no comfortable outside lounge chairs, no beach towels or equipment, and kitchen essentials were missing. Trying to find the place is a challenge, it's a condo maze up there.

The villa was spacious. The staff was very helpful and responsive to our requests and needs. The surrounding park lands and views are gorgeous. The pool is as nice as pictured. There was a grill, washing machine, hot pot, drip coffee pot, dishwasher, stove, and oven and fortunately, we found instruction books to help us figure out how to work them. No clothes dryer, but a drying rack and lots of wind. We figured out that our oven was broken, and it was replaced within two days, which I thought was impressive. We loved Salema, it was quieter than Lagos (a 25 minute drive), the beach is beautiful, and we were happy with the restaurant selection. Just know that the town is a pretty long walk down and down and then up and up back to the villas, probably 10 minutes.

We never did figure out how to use some of the appliances. Not a place with soap, etc provided - like no kitchen soap. But it was an amazing place!

I felt the instructions on how to get the keys were poor. I had to go to a location miles away to get the key, only to find out that there was a lockbox at the condo. If they were providing the best experience, it would have been much better to leave the key at the house in the existing lockbox. There were some broken cabinets in the kitchen. No differentiation between the loose laundry detergent and the dishwashing detergent packets had me guessing.

The location is very steep to walk, if you don't have a car be ready to exercise. We also found some ants in the bedrooms’ floors, which were not an actual problem but they didn’t share expenses with us and it would have been nicer if we didn’t have them there. The house should provide a sponge and dishwasher detergent even though there’s a dishwasher.

Everything was great. Amazing view and quiet area! The house is spacious and the exceeded our expectations in terms of space and appliances. On the first night we turned on the AC and the house was instantly warm and cosy. The staff was very helpful in providing a nice coffee machine that saved our mornings.

Lovely place, quiet thistle of the year, nice clean pool,lots of hilly walks and staff were amazing on reception when my daughter lost her comforter and managed to contact cleaning company and found it! Can't thank them enough.

House cleaning could have been a little more efficient. I don’t think the floors were swept once while we were there, except when we did it.

Furniture was modern, clean and comfortable, however kitchen utensils were VERY sparsam. There were no proper wine glasses, for example.
