The location is just great, if at the end of a long day you just want to relax and enjoy a peaceful evening. The breakfast was a marvel, especially for someone who doesn't eat breakfast! Local produce only, prepared by our lovely host. Recommending the place to anyone wanting to spend some time in the area, but also wants to enjoy some relaxing time in the evening.

Pension Bassen is a good countryside option in a tiny traditional Siebenbürgen Saxonian bath (Bazna in Rom.)town: It consists of main house, rustic and well furnished blockhouse style wooden huts and a huge garden and meadow (full of apple trees, one swimming pool (as a plastic construction), sunbeds, 2 hammocks, lots of outside sitting facilities, good for families with children, couples etc. Parking in the garden

Definitely not a deal breaker and it doesn't apply to the "grandma's house" where we stayed last time, but I think that the room cleanliness could be improved. Also, an upgrade would be very welcome for the bathrooms (especially the showers) and maybe the sunbeds in the yard. Last but not least, I think air conditioning is becoming a must in the fairy tale houses, particularly in the summer.

It was the second time we stayed here. As the previous time, the food was plentiful and absolutely delicious. Also the staff was very friendly and seemed genuinely interested in our comfort.

Must plan a longer stay than just one night :-)

Our friends were able to join us for dinner, adhoc, tasty authentic local dishes prepared and served by the host; even if they weren't staying at the same unit. Spent a lovely evening, altogether 10 persons at the barn / pavilion in the garden.

The breakfast was very diverse and it tasted very good. I have no complaints about it. I liked the backyard a lot because you had chairs and benches available for sitting outside either for relaxing purposes or why not for some remote work.

As a Transylvanian myself, I am quite used to the “traditional” way of living in this area. So would recommend for travelers from other parts of the world, not so much for locals. As a frequent traveler, I feel the location is a bit expensive, but then again Romania is more expensive than many countries (from a price/quality perspective).

The property manages to keep a very authentic Transylvanian experience whilst still maintaining good comfort standards. The host was exceptional!! We arrived late in the evening and he was kind enough to prepare for us a dinner (even if we did not pre-order it as we were supposed to do). Would recommend especially for foreigners.

Would recommend at Fairytaile houses to have installed mosquito nets at the window and doors, in the room was extremelly hot in the evening when day temperature was 32C. For breakfast and dinner please think at a solution such way people have enough tables where to sit to avoid waiting...we suggest to have prepared as well the small terrace with round tables. The breakfast/dinner room in the summer is extremely warm The recomendations are not negative, but improvements such way the location becomes EXCEPTIONAL

The food was delicious and plentiful, palinca was strong, beer was cold, the room was warm, the motorcycles were safely parked on the premises and on top of that, the staff was friendly and polite. All in all, recommended if you are in the area, either on foot, on a motorcycle or by car.

Pension Bassen is located in a very beautiful area in Bazna, from where you can walk to the center to visit the fortified church or you travel by car or bicycle to Cetatea de Balta and Jidvei. We had a great time at Pension Bassen where we ate a delicious breakfast and dinner. Definitely we will come again if we will travel in the area of Bazna.

Interesting location and friendly personeel. But old and outdated bathrooms, need investment and refreshment. Too old bathrooms especially for the price. When doing renovation, best to do it completely. Not half bathrooms as seen they do it in the whole facility. Just a suggestion

Absolutely everything! Even after one week they not answering my messages! After two hours of waiting outside, we get access to “room” Jesus Christ!!! Dinner was 120 lei for KNOR NOODLE SOUP and leftover chicken from neighbours table!!! Yes they just moved them to our table… In room Price was breakfast also, but in the morning someone came and asked us for 90 lei to pay!!!! Worst experience I ever had….

There was a lack of transparency towards the fact that they changed our reservation. We initially booked the fairytale house, but it was too cold to stay there overnight and they allocated a room in the house by the road. While this seems a kind gesture and i am not saying it wasn't, they didn't bother to call us and tell us not even when we arrived there. They simply seemed to overlook this and didn't even mention this until I asked what happened to our booking of the fairytale house. We would have chosen another place to stay if we knew. The fairytale house seemed an original experience and it was the reason we chose it. But they seemed to choose money over customer satisfaction. Also, nobody wore masks at all. From the mister who greeted us to the ladies who served the food, nobody wore masks (at the time of writing this is mandatory). Besides a dispenser with disinfectant at the entrance gate, not sure which are the Covid measures on premises... Room okish, but bathroom in a very urgent need for some renovation and cleaning. Bed was too hard for my back, but this is a subjective experience. Not impressed with the breakfast everyone praised in the other reviews.

Not sure I really liked something particular about the location itself. The bittersweet taste it left me might have made me blind of other positive aspects.
