Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesThe hotel is outdated, looks like an old lady who used to be very rich and pretty. It needs serious revamping, but this would reflect on the price too.
Perfect location, right in the middle of Novi Sad. Very friendly staff, I have felt welcomed. Good value for money.

PolandIn the summer it is very hot, and there was no AC. The breakfast was mediocre at best. I also was visited twice by cockroaches while in the room.
The staff were very kind and hospitable. They were always helpful and warm. The room was decent and cozy. It has a refrigerator, there is wifi, a nice bathroom. The location is amazing, right in the city center on the main square. There are several restaurants, museums, art galleries and other recreational activities near. It is a 20-30 minute walk from the hotel to the bus/train station and 20 minutes in the opposite direction from the stations to the Petrovaradin Fortress on the other side of the Danube. There are buses, but it was not clear to me which buses to use, so I walked.

SerbiaFood is decent and may need a bit more diversity. Hotel has a bit of a rustic feel, but some guests prefer that over the fancy looking place.
Hotel is in the city center, in the pedestrian zone. Easy to reach, and not far from bus/train station. Staff is very polite and forthcomming. Hotel is exactly what you would expect from a 3 star hotel.

United Arab EmiratesThe breakfast menu was ok and could have been a bit better. There was no black tea available at breakfast. There was no tea/coffee-making facility in the rooms. It is difficult to reach the hotel as the main road was closed due to construction. After roaming around for over 30min, we were finally able to reach the hotel.
Located in Trg Slobode, the hotel is close to some of the historical monuments, a little walk away from the park and is surrounded by pubs and bars. The hotel is within walking distance of many sightseeing places in Novi Sad. While we were there, the Exit Festival took place just across the open square from the hotel. Though paid, the hotel has ample parking space.

PolandNo elevator. The bathroom in the room was very old. Whole place needs refreshing, it's far from being fancy.
The hotel is located in the old brewery building, right in the very center. The interior is 'old' and many things ale left original - very cozy and very interesting. Room was comfortable, quiet, cozy. The parking was tricky to get to - you have to drive through pedestrian area - but it was right on the spot, very convenient. It wasn't fancy but you can feel the sense of history of the place, in a positive way.

SerbiaThe place in general is a bit on the worn-out end, so one shouldn't expect too much. There was no air conditioning in the room, only a fan, which should be fine in most cases. It does get a bit noisy from the inner courtyard restaurant music, but personally didn't mind.
Pretty awesome location. A well known hotel with a lot of history, so a time capsule in a way. Friendly professional staff, round the clock reception, really easy checkin process. The room meet my expectations and was clean and cozy.

United StatesAs I said, the staff said that the hotel was the "oldest in the city." The room was entirely adequate but it was not "deluxe." There was no AC. Instead, there was a fan. I combined the fan with an open window and kept cool enough. The open window provided fresh air, but also allowed a few night-time insects to get in the room. Fortunately, the square was not loud at night right in front of the hotel. That could be an issue for "light sleepers." In addition there was a problem with small insects in the bed. I woke up at night with small bites on my arms and legs. I mentioned the situation to the manager. I think the problem can be addressed with more attention.
The hotel - as the staff said several times - is the oldest in Novi Sad. Maybe that's the reason that its location is simply the best. Right on the main square in town. It could not be more central to all the action in town. In 5 minutes you were anywhere as far as current living in the city - shops, restaurants, clubs, cultural spaces, the EXIT festival, etc. It was also convenient for city public transportation, maybe 3 minutes from a very useful bus station to the train and bus stations. It was maybe 15 minutes walk from the city's primary "tourist attraction" - the Fortress, but that is on the other side of the river. Personally, I'd rather be on the hotel's side of the river. The room was small-ish but entirely adequate for my purposes. There was a view over the main square. I took photos of the main church from my room window. The bathroom was fine. There is good security since you have to walk by the reception to get to the rooms. The staff was helpful and welcoming when I arrived. And the staff referred me to the manager to address a specific issue. The manager was also helpful - answering a public transportation question that I had. Everyone "couldn't be nicer."

Location, Location, Location - that's what I usually look for, and this place has it - right in the heart of Novi Sad, in a historical building, with a garden, quiet and very functional room. Bonus points for the staff :) The ladies at the reception were awesome and very positive!
