Quiet oasis, pretty rooms, beautiful little garden with a pool. The owner and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The (French) breakfast is very tasty and can be served in the garden. It’s my second time in the guest house and I will definitely return.

It was my first time coming to Dakar, and I'm not a French speaker, but Virginie and Amadou were really prestative, helpful, and kind, which made the experience much easier. I love the place so much, too, very calm and relaxing. The lovely garden and pieces of art such great experience.

Virginie's maison is absolutely beautiful in a lovely location in Dakar. This was our first time visiting Senegal and were so pleased with this as our base for the first 3 days. The location is safe, we felt totally fine walking around at night. Virginie and her staff were kind and helpful. The home decor is a highlight in itself. The bed was so comfortable, probably the best sleep we've had while traveling in years. Finally, the breakfast provided varied each morning with the jams and fruit, a small but thoughtful touch that we really enjoyed. Overall highly recommend!!

Amazing property, a lovely accommodation with numerous artworks. Delicious breakfast, too. The staff was extremely helpful. He assisted us in the evening of our arrival - to look for restaurants that are open late at night.

Beautiful and relaxing boutique hotel. The owner, Mme Virginie, has such an eye for detail in both the design and service. The staff are wonderful, helpful, and very welcoming. My room was spacious and super clean, again attention to detail in every corner of the room. Continental breakfast was great. I was a single female traveler and had a wonderful time, the neighborhood is a residential area and safe. Easy to get around by taxi. I arrived in the middle of the night and had made transfer arrangements, and everything worked out well. Highly recommend the property and hope to return next year again.

Gorgeous and relaxing guest house. The owner, Virginie, has such an eye for detail in both the design of the property (incredible artwork from across West Africa) and the service. Her staff are fantastic - warm and welcoming, and extremely helpful. We are two women travellers and always felt safe walking at night in the neighbourhood. We spent four nights and found the place to be extremely clean. We are so happy we stayed in the area - easy to get around by taxi while being in a quiet and 'Zen' place. Breakfast was great. We would stay there every time we come through Dakar.

Continental breakfast. Included croissant, beget, glass full of fruits, cheese and marmalade. I think that if you would like additional food you can ask for. It was more that enough for me.

Beautiful, stylish and homely hotel in the quieter part of town in Yoff. Lots of art from the region to enjoy as well as a nice garden area to have a nicely put together breakfast Virginie the owner is so kind, helpful and interesting. We felt very much at home in her place.

Nothing to dislike. I think my only suggestion would be to include a Senegalese restaurant on the available list of eateries that deliver at dinner time.

Everything about my stay from start to end was excellent. There was absolutely nothing that was too much trouble for the staff. Virginie was so welcoming and knowledgeable and always took time to serve her guests herself each morning. She would make suggestions for sight seeing and where to obtain information. The hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel with every amenity you need. Spotlessly clean and artistically decorated throughout- each room has a slightly different feel - but at the same time has a homey cosy feel. It was like an unexpected hidden oasis in the middle of somewhat dusty streets. To tell you how much I loved the hotel I had previously arranged to stay elsewhere after in initial stay at Nyeleni but returned to Nyeleni instead. Thank you to Virginie and staff for such a fabulous stay. I will definitely recommend and would not hesitate to rebook Nyeleni if I return to Dakar.

It is not really located in the center, but we loved that it is off-center and if you like it more silent this is your choice as well.

We really enjoyed our stay at Virginie's guesthouse with support of Amadou. The whole guesthouse is designed so lovely and beautiful. Also we received so much support for our activities and our early departure. We can highly recommend staying there. The pool is also nice!
