Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Australiafood and drinks can be a bit expensive at the hotel compared to other restaurants around the area, but it was really good food
Everything! The beach is like paradise, very relaxed and crystal calm water, and the resort spreads around from east to west making it an unbelieavable location. The staff was amazing, everyone super helpful. Our room was at the top of the hill and we got a ride on the golf carts every time, we never waited more than 1 minute. Our room was fantastic, the sunset views are stunning! Good options of food around the hotel, and walking down the beach you'll find more options.

United KingdomApproaching the property via the stairs was not kept clean and had lots of deposits left by birds so couldn’t hold the hand rail. We were there for only two nights and it was frustrating that we couldn’t eat in the Thai restaurant as we had to book one day in advance. We were not given this information when we checked in. The food in the main restaurant was mediocre.
The actually room was ok although dark. It was cool and clean. The onward transfer to Phuket was very efficient and the best organised transfer we’d had all holiday. We were very impressed.

LithuaniaThe property needs renovation. In fact it looks like in some of the beach houses they already started it. But we lived in old one and it didn’t meet our expectations especially considering the price we paid. Also the hotel is isolated, not many eating places or activities around. Also it’s quite expensive to travel in to the hotel from the pier. The hotel do not organize any free transfers.
It’s good choice if you look for isolated place to stay in the beach. In other occasions you may want to look for another place.

RussiaOur room, especially the terrace, needs renovation. There was no coffee table on terrace and no mattress in place for lying down, a lot of mosquitoes in the evening. Not enough beach towels, sun beds on the beach and near the pools. There is no organized transfer of food and drinks to the "Monkey bar" (wait for a plate of fruit for about 30 minutes).
A very good and comfortable transfer organized by the hotel ! Own large and clean beach ! Delicious dishes and fast cerving in the main restaurant, drinks in the bar, peace and relaxation.

GermanyWe payed 1900 Baht per Person for the transfer from Ao Nang to the hotel. That included getting picked up at our previous hotel. It might be cheaper to plan the transfer yourself. It costs only 300 Baht per person from tonsai beach to laem tong pier. From tonsai to Ao Bang or Koh Lanta you can get tickets for around 500 Baht.
The hotel is great. We had a Ocean Villa Sunset and it was just beautiful. The staff is really nice and helpful and the breakfast is good. It is important to note that you can only get access to Tonsai beach per boat. For us this was no problem because there are plenty of restaurants around the hotel and there is a much more relaxed atmosphere compared to Tonsai. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

FranceManagement is not really listening to your needs. We booked the hotel almost one year before the trip and specifically asked from the beginning for two bungalows with communicating doors as our 3 kids are young. We finally got two separate bungalows, and we have been told communicating bungalows does not exist on the beachfront, which is obviously not true. It was not just for us… It’s a pity… Staff is really nice, but unfortunately has a very (but very) low level of english. Always difficult to be understood and you might sometimes get a bit bored of it. Finally, prices of food/stuffs in the hotel are much too high. You can get exactly the same 20/30% cheaper in shops and restaurants alongside the beach, which obviously everyone is doing as bar/restaurant in the hotel is desperately empty in the evening and at night.
Amazing location in Leamtong beach. We had brand new bungalows located on the beach. Hotel is currently doing some works to repair/replace some bungalows on the beach side which were probably a bit old. Breakfast is fine. Rooms are clean.

Norway- Service at the restaurant by the beach wasn't that good. Nice and smiling staff but it took a long time to order, get the food and get the check. We ate dinner there one evening and it took over 1 hour to get the food. Had to ask for it three times. When it arrived the food was cold. - The strong wind took the can of coke and spilled out on the table. The lady in the restaurant just stood and watched as we tried to wipe it with some thin napkins without helping out or gettin some paper for us. We were the only guests at the restaurant at that time.
- The beautiful and clean beach - The room with pool at the hilltop - Serviceminded staff, everyone was really nice to us - Quite beach, not so crowdy with a lot of facilities like in town (Ton Sai) - Good breakfast - Water included - Room-service - Shuttle to room with golf-cars - Stunning nature at the resort.

GermanyUnfortunately our bungalow was one of the older ones (they seem to be renewing), which meant the bathroom was for a 5 star hotel quite disappointing. The restaurant of the hotel was also very disappointing. The quality of the food did not meet the expectations ( especially the quality of the chicken-meat was horrendous) Taking into account there’s a low-cost restaurant just 5 min away with much better quality for the half of the price, you’re much better off going to „Chili and Pepper“! The transportation from the pier to the hotel it’s also not included! So you might have to pay 1500 baht to get to the hotel with a long tail boat. There’s no roads leading there on land.
The location was absolutely wonderful, you can enjoy the private beach which basically looks like Paradise. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful You have the possibility of renting a private boat tour with the traditional Thai long boats (at the beach near Cafe Jimmy) and you pay 2000 baht for 4h. You can customize your trip and tell them where you want to go. They usually also have snorkelling gear. At the hotel you can also do kayaking for free and ask for snorkelling gear as well.

Italy- Worst thing: This hotel is reccomended if you wan to stay isolated. Otherwise is a really big problem. is possible to take the last "organized boat" (around 5-10 Euro), only in the morning. The last one start at 14.00 So, if you want to come back later, you just cant, OR you need to take a taxi boat, that cost around 30 Euro. There is ANY other way to move from the resort. - along the ways in the resort, there are pipe running out outside the land. And this is really not nice to see, all those black water pipe going eveywhere. - Breakfast: close at 10.00 To early, if you are in holiday, and you want to sleep a bit later. And also, near the closing time, the quality start to be lower. - Seaweed: in some point in the water there are this really annoying seaweed, that start from the backdrop to the surface of the water. I never see anyone to take off those things. The resort have planty of workers, even for the most useless things, and no one care about this. And this is really not nice, because is really disgusting to sweam inside those seaweed, that also could be confuse with a jellyfish.
- Hotel is relly nice. Indicated for a quite not crowded place. - Room was really good. The design was not really cool, but all material was good. Bathroom also very good. - Beach and sea also really amazing.
