How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Thinn walls, you can hear your neighbors. Staff is friendly, but you don't feel very welcome.
Good value for money, good location. Nothing special, but good for a few nights.

You could hear everything on the room as the walls are poorly soundproofed

Staff were not very friendly and I felt like a nuisance just checking in or asking a question.
Good location, nice and quiet but close to good areas. The vibe of the place is nice. My room (fan only) was a bit dated and basic l, but my friend’s room looked nice. I was perfectly comfortable however.

Great little hostel type accommodations with friendly and helpful staff, very family friendly and conveniently located to restaurants and a night food and shopping market. Great for backpackers and families. The owner is always willing to help with any additional requests you might have during your stay.

A little noisy as there is construction going on at the back of the property but have been there before and was great.
It is well appointed in quite area but not to far from the action and night life.

The room with just one fan is not suitable for the hot climate in Bangkok. The fan was too loud and the room would get very warm during the day and would not cool down during the night.
The location was great on a quiet street close to Khaosan Road. A lot of restaurants and supermarkets at walking distance. The hotel had a familiar vibe and the staff was nice.

The staff could have been friendlier and I already mentioned the breakfast.
The breakfast was ok, but definitely room for improvement. It would be nice if they offered Thai breakfast food instead of toast, eggs and mostly unripe fruit each day.

Arriving at the hotel at midnight and receiving information that our room was on the 4th floor, with a large and heavy bag we had to go upstairs, the choice of the room should also be explained that the room was on the top floor and there was no elevator there.
It's great to stay in this place. Close to Khao san road, only about 10 minutes walk, 5 minutes walk we can also stop by at the cafe or bar at night. There is also a lot of food around the hotel area. Of course we will be back again.

It was very silent place. We had two single bed it was very comfortable and clean also in bathroom. We got towels, small shampoo and gel. You can drink free water. It's many possibilities If you want to eat or drink taste coffee near hostel. Host was helpful and lent us the thb. Thanks 😊

The staff were very friendly. We arrived early in the morning and the rooms weren’t ready, but they let us leave our luggage and refresh in the common area. Location is great if you want to use the river public transport ( about 10 minutes walking and the river transport is very cheap). The rooms were spacious, clean and we had nice breakfast with eggs and fruits. The reception is 24/7.

4 flights of stairs because we were top floor. For location we would next time choose something more into the city. But details, stay was great! Pretty hard beds
Really nice hotel room, clean with airconditioning. Very nice for landing after a long flight. About a 15 min walk to khao san road
