Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LithuaniaStarting with food. You need to pay for soft drinks and a water too despite you pay full board. Food is the badest in all country (we traveled with car several weeks around all Tunisia). Food served cold and not fresh. Rooms are dirty. Hotel not worth even two stars. Strongly needs renovation.
The one good thing is the location if you want to visit desert.

United StatesI think filtered drinking water should be provided.
I’ve never stayed in such an elegant place before, but this was affordable. The pool is beautiful and excellent for lap swimming. The breakfast buffet was amazing, especially the custom omelets.

United StatesHaving to hang out in the lobby to use wifi. And I prefer to live closer to town. I ended up taking a taxi to the louage station because it's 2 miles away. But I walked all day the first day.
I read reviews that said the decor was outdated and the wifi was terrible. But renovating costs money. I was fine with the decor because I prefer it to paying more for the room. The pool was amazing. I swam laps for a half hour and had the whole pool to myself. Regarding the wifi, in the lobby it was fine. Having wifi in the rooms would be ideal, but again, I'd rather keep the price economical. The breakfast buffet was great.

GreeceVery beautiful hotel. The most beautiful swimming pool I have ever seen. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Staff really helpful. They gave us all the necessary information about touristic activities. We tried all three meals (breakfast. Lunch. Dinner) everything was good ( for tunisian standards ) . The best hotel I have stayed in Tunisia.

Tunisia1st, they gave us a room without a pool view, unlike mentioned in the booking and even worse, with an AC that doesn't even work. 2nd they changed the room for us per our request, only to find out that it only have one working socket and two lamps. Everything else doesn't work, no safe, no good lighting, nothing. Food was barely acceptable. The last day was TERRIBLE. The checkout was at 12. I had to sleep till 11 so i can drive for long distance later. Yet they started phoning at 9.30am, until 11am just to tell me that they're doing maintenance and if i wished to extend? The problem is, they already started the maintenance, and it was LOUD, drilling and contruction noise from 9am till we checked out, without even notifying us a night before. They could've just changed us to another room as the hotel was almost empty. Terrible terrible, and terrible. A hotel where you cant even sleep in peace.
Friendly staff, great pool.

United KingdomMeal time is quite brief although it gives a lot options
The hotel is at the gate of the desert. You can book desert activities easily through their reception. The pool is open till late so it’s nice to swim there and cool down. Interestingly we didn’t even use AC at night because there room is cool enough. We also booked spa but it’s very mediocre. I wouldn’t recommend because it’s not worth the money

GreeceIt was outdated and hasn't been renovated for a long time (or even never). Carpet is disgusting and various bits in the room and especially in the bathroom were falling apart. We had to change 3 sets of sheets as they were dirty. Staff said they were washed, but obviously some stains had been permanent. They need to replace them with new ones. Breakfast time was 05:00-09:00 which is convenient for large groups that are the majority of the guests but was not convenient for solo travelers.
Big hotel with a large pool and big rooms. Very good location exactly next to dessert. We were able to organize an excursion to the dessert with the help of the staff. The breakfast buffet was passable.

United KingdomThe choice of food was poor and we could not choose dishes for dinner. It was set menu although the kitchen staff provided extra dishes for free. It would have been nicer to have a la carte menu where guests could choose what they want to eat.
Very friendly staff and good location. Large room and beautiful surroundings. A large pool and beautiful lighting at night. The hotel staff was very helpful organising a desert tour for us. The hotel has a souvenir shop and a very friendly 'resident cat'.

BulgariaWhen we arrived, we had no towels in the room. there is no WiFi in the rooms, only in the lobby. they use single use cups for coffee/tea at breakfast, feels weird. Hotel is a bit outdated but still okay. All 4 star hotels in Douz are very far from the center, so you always need a taxi if you want to go somewhere else.
we go a huge room! beds are also huge and comfortable, showers have good water pressure, staff is super nice and helpful. Cute cat in the lobby.

RussiaCan't say more than other reviews, there were only two electric socket in the room, both designed for the tv and the fridge means far from the bed. Stuff woke me up twice in the same morning to ask about cleaning because I hadn't found "don't disturb" sign in my room. No kettle either. No wi-fi at all in my room. No welcome water in the room. Place a bit far from everything, but taxi outside is cheap Lock on the door to my room was visually damaged, and i wasn't feeling save about my valuables I have feeling that this hotel was designed in 1960 or so, and our life just has changed so much and this hotel is not. And I understand that it is too expensive to refresh so big place when you are located in not very touristic place and so doesn't have enough income. If I were manager and had to make cheap changes then I would buy: wi-fi routers, electric socket extensions, kettles and one bottle of water for guests, plus keep an eye at "don't disturb marks". These minor changes would change my assessment a lot.
In general It wasn't so bad. Beautiful swimming pull. But for the same money in other cities you can get 2 bedroom apartments with everything you need.

GermanyThe light in the Toilet wasn't working, and the second we used our flashlights they revealed what the guests before us left behind. The interior was clearly a few years too old, and the beds were rockhard. All in all there should be a general renovation or they should substract one star.
