Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

This place is as close to paradise as you can get! It is right on the edge of the rainforest and overlooking the Caribbean sea. We rented 2 jeeps and went from one fantastic place to another for 3 days: waterfalls, beauitful secluded beaches like Englishmans Bay and ended the day with a cool caribbean beer in Glascow's bar with some reggae music. The villa has all the luxury that we wanted with a nice pool, large rooms (some with kitchen) and in the morning a breakfast with great coffee. The host Wayne is very friendly and helpful and even arranged airplane tickets back to Trinidad for us although they were sold out on the website.

United KingdomThe rough sections of the road leading up to Victory Villa add to the feeling of discovery and of moving into the rainforest.
Everything about this visit exceeded our expectations. Dr Warner's personal attention to detail and concern that his guests have the best possible experience combined to ensure we had an outstanding holiday. His communications before and during our stay were informative, timely, and well judged. I am not easily impressed, but his professionalism is faultless, and his friendliness is sincere and warm.

United KingdomNothing. It was the perfect stay.
An absolute jewel, the pictures don't do this place justice. The morning vlbrings in an incredible site to see each day with hummingbirds to accompany a truly breathtaking breakfast view. With Wayne, I can honestly say he was the best host of any accommodation we have had. Communicative throughout, unbelievably accomodating, especially when our next host let us down severely, I would highly recommend staying here. Each room was more like a mini chalet with its own kitchenette, very comfortable with great utilities. The pool was perfect, as was the outdoor kitchen and relaxation area.

CanadaThe cows! :P It's hard to find things not to like but the local cows and their possessiveness of the roads definitely took a bit getting used to :).
There's a lot to like, and love, about Victory Villa, but my favourite would hands-down have to be the view. You have an amazing view of Englishman's Bay framed by lush tropical rainforest, and you have a tranquil mix of birdsong and waves to complete the picture. Sitting by the pool taking the view in was sheer heaven. All the hummingbird visitors are a close second. The proximity to the Main Ridge tropical forests, and the ample bird feeders around the property meant that you were treated to several daily shows of all these vibrant hummingbirds feeding, my photos don't do them justice, you have to experience this for yourself!

United StatesNo restaurants immediately next to the hotel given its location perched high above the coast. Grab an early dinner before checking in. This may remedied soon as the owner Wayne is in the process of building a restaurant attached to the guest house.
Wonderful stay at the Victory Villa. Beautiful views overlooking Englishman's Bay. The Owner Wayne was terrific. Room was comfortable, spotless and very quiet. Wayne arranged for breakfast before my departure overlooking the pool area and ocean.

United KingdomFor us, absolutely nothing to dislike. We loved everything. It would mostly suit travellers with a sense of adventure seeking natural beauty and birdlife - people who who want to discover the simple pleasures of traditional Tobago and don't mind a few rough roads and limited entertainment choices.
Peaceful escape in a beautiful location. The views were a constant pleasure - plenty of spaces to enjoy them. The pool was large and well kept, as were the surrounding gardens. You feel very close to nature surrounded by birds and tropical vegetation. Wayne is a very flexible, responsive and genuinely helpful host - nothing was too much trouble. He arranged rainforest walks and boat/fishing trips for us with local people. This is a world away from the big Caribbean resorts - and perfect for us. Beautiful and very quiet beaches are nearby - thankfully free of noise, jet skis and parties.

Great host. Beautiful flora and fauna. Hummingbirds, wild parrots greeting you every morning. Stunning mountain views. Breakfast on the patio overlooking the pool while gazing on the magnificent Englishman's Bay with its azure blue waters is a must. Breakfast was a 5-star as you enjoy island cuisine at its best.

United KingdomNot a thing we did not like. But just to be cautious on the dirt road leading to the Villa. Navigating the dirt road leading to the Villa was difficult on one occasion because of the heavy rains. Wayne had cautioned us about this prior to our stay . He was also on hand to help us when we needed support in getting back to the Villa.I still rate our stay at the Villa a 10 and wish we could have stayed longer than our 4 nights.
Everything! There is so much to like about Victory Villa.Waking up to hummingbirds and the amazing view was such a treat. Gazing up at the night sky and stars! The cleanliness and spaciousness of the rooms were great. The lovely shower The tranquility of the location. The warm welcome shown to us by the Villa's owner, Wayne. He generously shared local knowledge with us which was much appreciated. He also upgraded one of our rooms without any extra charge.Nothing was too much for him.

A beautiful villa in a stunning location! The room was clean and comfortable while everything we could possibly need was provided. The host was also fantastic. He communicated with us from the initial booking to provide information, not just about the villa, but about Tobago in general as well as things to see and do. United StatesThe only downside was we didn't realize places in the area closed early so we had to plan ahead for meals if we didn't want to eat at the villa. Our host was extremely accommodating and told us exactly where to go and when things would be open. He even made phone calls to the places so they stayed open a little later for us and knew we were coming. He suggested we stock up on our favorite snacks and drinks prior to the our stay - which we did. There also is a full kitchen for guest access so we could have made our own food if we wanted. We had everything we could possibly need.
I NEVER write reviews but this listing is worth the extra time. I truly could not recommend this listing more. It absolutely exceeded all my expectations. Wayne (the host) sent me a full video of our room and the surrounding area prior to our arrival so we knew what to expect. When I first watched it, I was thinking "ok, this has to be too good to be true". But it truly was a dream come true. There were no other guests during our stay so we had the entire villa to ourselves. Our breakfast was exceptional and all the food was the freshest of our entire trip. Wayne set us up with 2 local tour guides and worked through the payments with us. Both guides were very knowledgeable and we had them all to ourselves. We felt like we had VIP access to the entire island. Everyone makes you feel so special and are extremely kind. We would go out for the afternoon and come back and just float in the pool and look up at the stars, it was magical. We would be exhausted when we came home so we would lay down on the bed which was so comfy and watch our Netflix. The room is huge and was extremely clean. You're in the middle of the forest and it feels like a personal paradise. Book now!
