I had an amazing stay, unfortunately short this time, but I will definitely come back. The apartment was big, very nice design, very clean (wich is very important for me), nice staff, good food and the best Wi-Fi speed I ever had in Zanzibar. The pool is big and the beach is literally 1 min away wich was perfect for me because I enjoy drinking my coffee at sunrise on the beach. I totally recommend this place.

The Sand Beach Boutique Hotel is, without a doubt, the best hotel on the east coast of Zanzibar! New hotel built with great taste and with attention to detail. My family and I stayed at this hotel for 11 days in a villa with a private pool. The villas are spacious with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, perfect for families and with the advantage of having a private pool! All the hotel staff are impeccable, from the owner to all the employees, as well as the food is always fresh and prepared with dedication. My son had his birthday and he was entitled to a small cake and they sang happy birthday to him, I know he will never forget it. Thank you very much, we loved our stay!

The beds are not very good and it would be nice to have a fridge in the room.

The hotel is very convenient for families. It is easy to jump back and forth the pool and rooms. The staff are so nice , lovely and helpful with everything. Food is also pretty good!

The WiFi connection was poor in the rooms due to the distance from the router which is placed in the restaurant.

The staff (especially the bar manager and receptionist) were extremely kind and welcoming. The breakfast options are great and the restaurant itself has tasty food for lunch and dinner. Rooms are clean and very spacious. Beach is merely a 2 min walk from the entrance to the hotel. Also very convenient that they have a generator since the island suffers from many power outages.

Amazing pool area right in front of the room. We loved the smaller size of the hotel and the friendly staff. The beach is just a few steps away. Breakfast was excellent too.

One of the best location where we have stayed in our exotic vacations. Very friendly for families, everything new and very clean. We traveled with our 2 year old daughter and the host was very nice to provide everything that we needed for her. The hotel is super close to the beach, the staff is very friendly and kind, the food is amazing. They always have fresh catch to offer, the food is tasty and the fruits delicious. I highly recommend and we will definitely come back here in the future.

The Hotel looks exactly as what’s seen in the pictures. It’s even more beautiful at night.The Entire property is awesomely beautiful and clean. But also the free pool. Our kids really enjoyed their time by the pool swimming unlimited. But also it’s very close to the beach.

The property is clean and very neatly organized. The design of the property is very simple and classy. Honestly it’s place where anyone would love to stay with family or friends.

This is a new hotel, meaning all facilities are perfect and well organized. All staff, the manager and the owners are very supportive. Food is excellent and the central pool helps to make new friends. And the beautiful beach is very near.

Absolutely amazing stay at apartment in Bwejuu, Zanzibar! The food at the restaurant was exceptional, the breathtaking views from the apartment were truly memorable, and having the beach so close was a dream. I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Sand Beach Palm Resort & Villas, and I feel compelled to share my dissatisfaction with the owner’s behavior and the overall service. Upon arriving on December 26, 2023, at 1:00 pm, the initial impression was marred by the absence of basic amenities in the rooms. Despite the modern appearance, the lack of water bottles, a refrigerator, glasses, and a kettle for boiling water immediately created an inconvenience for my family. The situation escalated when we encountered the hotel owner, whose unprofessionalism and disregard for guests were apparent. Despite the booking clearly stating that breakfast was included for all guests, the owner attempted to charge an additional fee, making baseless claims about the reservation’s coverage. The owner’s dismissive attitude, unwarranted threats, and refusal to provide essential services with courtesy were unacceptable. Moreover, the lack of legal payment options, the absence of a card payment facility, and the refusal to provide receipts for our orders raised serious concerns about the hotel’s integrity. To make matters worse, it became apparent that the owner harbored racial biases, particularly against Asian guests. This discriminatory behavior created an uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere, tarnishing the overall experience. As a result of these issues, we were compelled to leave the premises and find alternative accommodations. It’s essential to note that the cancellation was imposed by the hotel, not initiated by us. In my over 10 years as a loyal member of Booking.com, this is the first time I have encountered such unprofessionalism and discrimination from a hotel owner. I strongly advise potential travelers to reconsider booking at Sand Beach Palm Resort & Villas through Booking.com, as the overall experience left much to be desired.
