Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe mandatory valet is $70, plus tax, plus tip. Seems it's for the ride to park your car and to bring it back to you sinc3 I was charged $160 for them to park my damn car. The room is small. Had a $50 breakfast voucher for Corrine, someone gave us coffee and then after 15min we left since no one came to take our order. So I paid $50 for 2 coffees.... the whole place is a rip off.

United StatesInteresting room design. Anyone opening the door can see whoever is in the shower. Glass sliding door to the toilet was off the track and very difficult to slide closed (and open). Sliding door from opening into bedroom. What were you thinking? Who is the rocket scientist who came up with that? The sliding door could have been between the shower/toilet and the sink. There's a novel idea. Ice ONLY on the 7th floor? What else can you scrimp on? Pillows were dreadful. Some folks reported waiting for elevators for more than 15 minutes.
Staff very attentive. Nice view from the rooms. Bed comfortable (but honestly the pillows were awful).

United KingdomWe paid almost $400 for the room, for one night, breakfast and WiFi weren’t included in the price. I was ok about the breakfast, as we knew when booking and our options were limited (it was eclipse weekend). However, the charge of an extra $15 per day for WiFi made me think the whole package was unreasonable. Both WiFi and breakfast should have been included at that room price.
Clean, spacious and comfortable room. Great location.

United StatesWe were coming for a convention. Three women traveling together and of course too much luggage. When we got to the Marriott several conference goers were arriving, we were half in the street half on the property when valet stopped us and had us get out there and take our luggage. I assume this was done to keep the flow down but we were trying to drag our luggage without any assistance to the entry of the hotel. Finally we checked in, drug our many bags to the elevator where we saw a bell hop coming down with an empty cart and asked for his assistance, he of course assisted and was very polite and professional. We did not have time to gather small stuff or jackets out of the vehicle and for the rest of time I had several items I would have appreciated having out of the vehicle. It was busy and most likely the hotel was under staffed but this truly caused me to be irritated throughout my stay due to the fact I would want/need something and remember that I left it in the car and it was not worth the hassle to try to retrieve something that was not necessarily needed but wanted. I did ask to have my jacket brought out of the car and that was done in a prompt manner.
I liked the property. Nice, clean everything was good

United StatesThe gate to enter the pool was broken so i was not able to get i unless someone opened it for me.
I loved the rooftop bar and pool. It felt like I was in Mexico on vacation. I also enjoyed the happy hour down in the lobby bars. You can not beat $7 cocktails. I was here for Dreamcon and it was so convenient to the convention center.

United StatesMy only complaint would be to have more pool-side service and a few kid-friendly options on the menu upstairs. We had a server on Wednesday, but then no one was attending the pool on Thursday. I certainly understand if there may have been a staffing issue though.
This was my second time at this Marriott. It is a beautiful property with a great location. My kids and I enjoyed the pool time the most. The restaurant downstairs was very good too, and I appreciated the store in the lobby.
