How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The check in was not great they had 2 people at the desk but only one was helping people even though there was a line. So it took longer than I would have liked. Also the staff would talk to eachother in an another language in front of the customers and I feel that’s very rude.
I enjoyed the stay and the room very much.The lobby area was very clean and comfortable to wait in. The TV and just overall things in the room was great for what I was looking for. That bathroom was very clean and comfortable. Had everything you would need in the bathroom and more than enough towels. The breakfast was great also and a lot to pick from.

The one and only thing I did not like was that I felt a bit profiled at the front desk when checking in. I'm not sure if this is protocol for everyone or just us (we're a younger looking couple) but they made us sign a sheet that said we couldn't have any guests over and no parties. Which the party part I 100% understand but we had booked the hotel because it was close to a nearby concert venue. Our friends were going to meet us at the hotel so we could ride there together. And so I felt like I couldn't have people come hang out with us for a little bit before leaving? I asked the staff about this and they told us no it's fine they can come it's more that you can't party or have loud music. Which again I understand but the no guests thing is extreme.
The breakfast was amazing and had a great selection. Best I've seen at any hotel. The staff was nice. Everything was really clean. Our room was beautiful and it was a quiet stay. The best was extremely comfortable!!!! The shower was really nice and the water was nice and hot how I like it. Some hotels hot water doesn't work a good so this was a nice change.

Extra $100 deposit. Paid full amount upon reservation and asked for $100 more upon arrival. Will possibly cost them future guests. Coming from out of town I like to budget and paying extra hotel costs for so called possible damage to the room, hated it. I am a 66 year old, two time cancer survivor, other than quiet time, a hot shower and comfortable bed, nothing much would be going on in my room.

Rooms on north side of hotel face the freeway. The freeway noise is very loud in these rooms. Can even be heard in the enclosed bathroom.
Very clean and comfortable no frills hotel. Good location to access norther Detroit metro area.

The only problem we had was we couldnt get the TV to let us cast from our phones and no one else there could help either
We liked most everything, really clean place. Front desk help was amazing.

My toilet had intermittent issues with flushing. I had the handicap accessible room since I have a broken leg right now and I needed the shower chair. The handheld shower head hose was very loose and water sprayed out everywhere. Besides that there was nothing that I would change about this trip or stay
It was very clean and quiet. I was surprised, considering that it is right off of the interstate. I never saw a single thing that I thought needed to be cleaned.

The room and the bathroom were freshly made and organized but not as clean as I am used to seeing in most hotels.
The furnishings and finishes were new and updated. Everything was in working condition. The complementary breakfast was well-stocked. The fitness center was decent.

Breakfast was ok, wasn't what we expected.
