We booked two rooms, our friends had the larger suite with a king bed, this room had a very comfortable space for the four of us to chat and enjoy a glass of wine together. Our room was much smaller with a king bed but adequate space for an overnight stay. Rooms have a nice bathroom, coffee maker, and small refrigerator. John, our host, was very welcoming and friendly. He gave us the history of the property as it is a very beautifully crafted mansion. We all enjoyed the unique breakfast, fresh fruit, juices, and coffee in the morning. The location is great!

The old floorboards creak quite loudly and noise travels, but we luckily had our white noise machine with us so weren’t bothered by sounds from other guests. The water closet walls could use some help in the paint department and a good cleaning, but touchable surfaces were all clean so not real complaints.

This is an absolutely charming historic B&B within east walking distance to downtown restaurants. Very comfortable beds. The proprietor is so personable and we loved the breakfast service in the morning! Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The room seemed a little musty, I think it was from the carpet so maybe a little deep clean for the carpets

Parking was always iffy. We did have to park on the street across from the Gables once. Keurig did not work first time but they fixed it. Heating had an issue but they fixed it. I could see to the outside at one of the windows. Owner said that is the next refurbishment.

Breakfasts were very good. The ambiance was nice as a very old but restored facility. Room was spacious, with sitting area and ensuite bath. Talking with the owner and staff was very, pleasant.

No real front desk for enquiries but we did phone to communicate.

Great location walking distance to downtown. The room was very large and sunny, with a nice sitting area. Comfy bed and big bathroom. I would’ve loved a mini heater in the bathroom, though. It was cold in there at night! Also, very good breakfast with two different hours to pick from. Owner was very accommodating of earlier times and was very, very nice.

The property is beautiful. The house is full of history. Breakfast was good. They do need to check with guess to see if they need anything. We ran out of toilet paper and had to go buy some because there was no one around to ask for any. A little minor thing for such an enjoyable time.

They need to get better painting and other contractors. The bedroom was painted but a very sloppy job as was other modifications to the room. A shame as I think this old facility could really be top notch with proper maintenance and updates.

Nice location within walking distance to main downtown area. Very good breakfast.

Except for breakfast never saw staff to ask questions. No coffee served before the designated breakfast time, which wouldn’t have been a problem because of in-room coffee pot, but our In-room coffee supply wasn’t restocked from previous day.

Clean and comfortable. Staff that we saw were nice and personable. Breakfast was excellent both days! Coffee was really good! Perfect location! In a quiet neighborhood, but only a 5 minute walk to waterfront and downtown.

The breakfast was exactly the same, three days in a row. I am formed the Inn that I did not like eggs, and that’s what they served for three mornings in a row. In addition the bottom sheet on the bed was a flat sheet instead of a fitted sheet so it was a bit uncomfortable as it just kept getting bunched up during sleep.

The location was good, walking distance to downtown Napa.

The property was not really at the napa town centre, so it was quite a walk to town. Soundproofing was also not great as you could hear people walking around outside, but expected for a historical property.

Breakfast was exceptional - they had house made muesli and warm pancakes. The decor was also amazing and very stylish; it was very fun exploring all the little areas at the historical property.

Wooden stairs are a little creaky. I was fine, but could be a problem for older folks with walking disabilities.

It's an older home, beautiful, but the bathroom and sink are new. Very, very clean. TV, A/C in room. Chris and Gene are very friendly. So is the dog, Cedar. Breakfast was really good. You get a choice of 2 entrees. They serve you breakfast. Also , fridge and coffee maker in room. Lots of nooks to sit and read if you like.

lighting in the bathroom was a bit dim for this poor old 50+ gal.

This house was architect designed for a young couple in about the 1880s 90s and was intriguing! Lovely fireplace to welcome you and the host Daniel was great on knowledge and breakfast! The location was ideal amongst other beautiful homes of that era but close to the main street. A treat. I just needed a step ladder to get into the amazing bed.
