Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNot much of a gripe at all. Just be prepared to walk everywhere because they want to keep cars and vehicles of any kind off of the campground so just be mindful of that if you have any issues walking for prolonged period of time.
Great staff, great location, unique accommodations and rich history.

United StatesYou have to remember they are actual vintage trailers so the door while it locked, wasn’t able to completely close same with the bathroom and our AC didn’t work but it was so chilly at night that we didn’t care and they even gave us a discount and a couple free Topo chicos for our trouble.
Such a cute Marfa type glamping experience. Loved the front porch with a table, the grounds including hammocks, grills, cute little gift shop, fun bathrobes and linens. The place is just as cute and off-beat as Marfa itself.

United StatesEl Cosmico was a great stay. We stayed in a really cute & cozy trailer and enjoyed it. El Cosmico even had some bands play at night so we got to meet other guests and hang out. It was a cool & fun atmosphere and definitely the vibe you go to Marfa for. We absolutely loved it! And, it’s walking distance to restaurants and bars in town.

United StatesThe prices for most of the items in the gift shop are astronomical. Prices are, overall, a bit high in every category. But the vibe is excellent! Also, from the Jupe we rented, we could hear too much traffic going by the main road that runs by El Cosmico.
Love the atmosphere. The staff were all fantastic. Love all the decorative trailers and other places that could be rented.

United StatesIn cool weather, the heated mattress pad is a must. Unfortunately, the controls were reversed so my friend was burned while I froze. The hot tubs had no privacy- right on the path by the back door. Seems spendy for a place with outdoor bathrooms and showers.
Great hippie vibe

United StatesIn the cold months the unheated safari tents can get very cold, and the bath facilities are limited. Come prepared as Marfa can get very cold.
Cool, Austin-music vibe. Seems well run.

United StatesEven factoring in the "roughing it a bit" vibe (is the whole point), our bed in the camper was a bit "too" uncomfortable. Probably needs either a new mattress or correction to the box support. No biggie.
Fun and kitchy, several options of kinds of "off the grid" feel. So retro.

The location is fantastic and the experience was unique. I slept in a tent. You need to use ear plug as the isolation can’t be the same as in a regular hotel room. And it was a little bit cold at night. But the bed was absolutely amazing, could have been a bed from a 5 stars hotel. Sharing the bathroom is also an experience but it’s fun. The decoration has been done with an amazing test. I highly recommend the experience.

New ZealandHaving to park so far from the accommodation, wished that there was some parking hubs close to the rooms.
It was quirky, loved staying in a trailer and the air con was a blessing. In a small town like Marfa it was great to have something different and this place was definitely different (in a good way)h

IrelandThe Safari tents were too hot. As per above, they should not be available to rent at this time of year, with no AC, its probably quite dangerous with that heat.
I LOVED this campground. The location was great and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I travelled with my puppy and we really enjoyed our stay. The stars amazing to look at from outside my room. One thing I missed, which is probably on me, is that there is no AC in the Safari tents, and in July/August this simply isnt sustainable. It was too hot to be in there at any point between 10am- 8pm so I paid the cost to upgrade. I personally dont think these should be available to rent during these months. However, I was given a discount to upgrade which I appreciated. Overall a great stay!

United KingdomIt was a little noisy at night (the trains sounding their horns as they came into Marfa and the cars passing on the road), but that’s to be expected when you’re sleeping in a tent and it didn’t ruin our stay.
Amazing location, eclectic decor and good vibes all around. We also enjoyed the live music on the Friday night of our stay.

United StatesUnfortunately, we got caught in a rare heavy rain storm. I was expecting that since it was a campground, we could just drive up to our site, like how most campgrounds are set up. That was not the case. It was a separate parking lot. We had to make multiple trips in the pouring rain to the car, so keep that in mind while packing. While the shared bathrooms and showers were about what I expected for a glamping experience, I wish the canvas that was for privacy extended to the re-bar frames so outsiders couldn't see in so easily.
Location was excellent. Store was very well curated, but expensive. Morning coffee was delicious. Staff were very helpful. The beds, even in the most basic tent accommodations, were extremely comfortable. The shared bathrooms had nice hot water.
