How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

My husband forgot his expensive T shirt and nobody called us to tell that. When we were already home , then we saw that the shirt was missing. We called the hotel to ask and they told us to call tomorrow. I’m anxious to know the result

Pool was closed and locked so there was not a single outdoor area where we can set and relaxed. The night was breasse so we seat with other two guest at the stairs on front of the building.

It would be great if they could offer a greater variety of healthy options for breakfast. Apart from that all good.
The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was good. Reception staff were really friendly.

Pool was empty at maintenance.
Breakfast was simple but whatever they offered was in a good condition, including fruits. Lady in the front desk was super supportive and helpful.

The mattress was very uncomfortable and the sound of the AC unit turning on and off was extremely loud and woke us up continuously throughout the nigh.
I liked the modern look, I also liked the location.

Outlets in the bathroom were placed too close to the wall / sink vanity so we could not plug in hair driers / electric razors. TV had limited streaming / casting functionality.
Reasonably well located. The pool was not operational but they offered us free access to the pool at the other Hampton Inn location which was kind.

Cable did not work. Internet took some work to finally connect. I don't think pool was ready.

Being a new property, I was surprised by the lesser quality of bathroom features. Cheap commode, cheap shower head , low water pressure. Also bed was not as comfortable as at other Hampton Inns.
New, clean, convenient.

Had to leave.
Very much appreciated, I had to arrive at 11 AM due to the tropical storm the day before, transportation was not easy, and the room was ready, manager very personable, location to courts in Ft. Myers was around the corner, unexpected. Super stay.

This was the worst hotel we ever stayed in. The receptionist was extremely unfriendly. The airco did not work which we only found out around 10.30pm, after testing it for a while. We went down and she came upstairs, saying this is normal. Would make such a noise (level of a helicopter landing zone all night) and it would be impossible to turn the airco off. She simply left. We went down again at midnight, the receptionist (another one) was a bit more friendly but could not help. Important is that he already knew about the rattling sound and that airco can never be turned out (!!!) and is super noisy. We could barely sleep, even with ear plugs. In the morning the first receptionist was back again and -although we did not say a thing- was very rude. She did not even wanted to tell me the final amount of the bill because she had already emailed it (a minute ago) and did not want to reopen it again. No question about the airco, no word of apologies. Never had such a treatment and such a horrible night, although we actually go more often to Hampton Inns.

We were there for 5 nights and got no housekeeping despite every desk shift telling us they'd have it taken care of right away. And the location is very noisy - at the intersection of two main traffic arteries. It's close to downtown but we'll drive next time rather than stay here.

the pool it not working they send you to another place if you want use a pool. we enter thursday and don't clean the room until Saturday.
The breakfast was good and the persons at that part were nice.

Even the hotel name (Hampton) was not there at the outside… we were puzzled!! That the pool was out of order was not mentioned while the booking was done!!!… isn’t it cheating?

Everything was great when I arrived. The staff was excellent, friendly helpful etc...My discontent lies in the fact that once I went to sleep I was awaken to banging pipes in my room most of the night, it was awful. Thankfully the person at the desk gave me 12 noon check out. He could not have been nicer. In the morning I went to take a shower and it was damn cold. I was too late for work to call housekeeping etc...
