We have stayed at Holland Inn & Suites before and were satisfied with our previous stay. This time, there was a bad smell in the room when we entered. We opened windows to air out the room. There was a faint undesirable smell in the bed. We had a cat with us, and on the booking.com website it was stated that the price per night for a pet was $20. We were actually charged $25 per night by the hotel.

Checkin went well. The price was right.

My friend had construction sounds in his room till about 2 am don’t know where the sound was coming from but hard to sleep with it And I had someone knocking on my door about 230 am , I realize they can’t always stop drunk people but as a single woman it did make me feel unsafe

Room floor felt sticky, bed cover smelled like oil, the microwave, coffee make and a lamp didn’t work because the power outlet was out. TV system seemed okd and was hard to figure out.

The ceiling fan is on a timer. I was up all night turning the fan back on. If you plan to stay, take a fan.

Floors were FILTHY. I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but omg. Getting out of the shower and walking to the bed area (5 steps maybe) and my feet were black as if I’d walked outside on the road barefoot. No exaggeration at all. We had to Wear sandals in the room the entire time. Bed was HARD. I like a firm mattress but it was very much like sleeping on the floor :/ Everything else was very clean; room came with fridge, microwave, hair dryer, and coffee maker.

Hot water takes long time to run. Leak in the bathroom. The room is hot and the fan provided is noisy. Far from the harbor.

I arrived late because of road conditions on hiway one. It took a while to check in as I lost my ID. They were a bit confused ,the situation got resolved.

The only real issue I had was the bed was extremely hard and I could not sleep they gave me a backache.

Some rooms on the property need a assist bar installed to enter the room due to the threshold height. It would be an excellent safety precaution.

Bed- hard and kept sliding on the platform. worth what I paid but wouldn't pay more for it. Microwave didn't work had to be replaced.

all the people in and out. the ice machine and drinks are in the office which they keep locked so you have to bother them to unlock the door and you can tell by there facial expressions, they were bothered. same with towels!

If you are wanting to be in the heart of downtown within walking distance, you are a little out but still close enough for biking etc. It isn't right in the middle of downtown but Morro Bay is small enough that nothing is really out of the way. Nothing I didn't really like.

I like that it is located easy access to highway in Morro Bay and about halfway to Cayucos. The bed was very comfortable and that is very important for me since I have had 2 back surgeries in the last 4 years. It is clean. The staff is wonderful and friendly.
