Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe cleanliness of the room wasn't like before during our last stay back in March. During our March stay I cleaned the floor with a swiffer and it was clean. Did the something this time and it was quite dirty. The room smelled like a cigar. There was no complementary liquid dish soap.

United StatesThe breakfast was "eh"... not very much of a selection...and had to flag down staff for a few things that were placed out empty or almost gone 15 after the start of breakfast...No bacon (cut up smoked sausage instead) iykyk lol...Other than that, it's the typical options. Location is 30 mins from downtown... but this wasn't a big deal for us.
The room was clean and very spacious. I liked that it had a full kitchen (i.e. full-sized refrigerator, stove, microwave, sink, and dishwasher). The location was "eh"...about 30 mins from downtown. However, we had to make a run to Target and that (and many more stores) were just 10 mins away without having to take the freeway to get there. We only stayed 1 night, so there were no issues with staff, but only interacted with them to check in and check out. So, I can't really speak on customer service but seemed okay...Nothing stood out as exceptional or bad in those few interactions.

United StatesBREAKFAST IS HORRIBLE! A THOUSAND TIMES THE BREAKFAST at Home2 by Hilton!!! The rooms are not soundproofed, I was woken up by the snoring of the guest in the next room.
My dog said he liked the bed and I agree with him! Coffee ink available 24/7 at reception and that was great because it was very cold! The bathroom is wonderful, the towels are white, of great quality and clean, you feel like you are in a spa!

CanadaWe were there for 5 nights and my only concern was that there was homeless person sleeping in the lobby and in the breakfast area for last two days. The night before police came and escorted him but next morning we found him sleeping in the breakfast area. With the kids I didn’t feel safe letting them go by themselves anywhere at the hotel property
