Staff at reception always helpful and friendly. The single beds werent comfortable and the rooms were too small with both of us having a big suitcase . There was only room for one of us to put on the floor the other case had to sit on the desk.Could hardly move around in room.

I found it a bit loud at night (it's downtown LA afterall), location was not great in my opinion, but simply because LA is so big, you need to be very mindful of where you want to go and book accordingly.

This hotel is nice and decent value for money. Not really modern, rooms could be bigger, but as a solo traveler I did not mind it (had enough space). Cleanliness was definitely a highlight. Close to the Central Market (food market) and some other smaller attractions. Walking distance (15/20min) to a few shopping centers. There is a nice video playing on the tv in the rooms which gives quick tips on what to visit nearby, I found it useful!

Air Conditioner had a bad smell. Bed sheets smelled used. Walls are thin you Can hear people walking by/ talking.

pretty noisy outside/not sure of the building insulation as many other international city hotels have the same traffic and night noises but this seemed even louder. otherwise pretty good middle of the road hotel.

it had a fridge (big bonus as some hotels don’t), wifi worked well (I’m currently staying in another hotel in San Fran where the wifi keeps dropping out), close to metro which got me to Dolby Theatre, SOFI Stadium, and LA Coliseum all in one weekend easy enough, really close to Grand Central Market so got good selection of street food.

I didnt like how the window can't be open, the ac cooler have bad odors smell, the shower is too small and a spare bed leaning against the wall.

I like how it's convenient to the metro and little Tokyo. The hotel is pretty clean.

Given the simplicity, it was a little pricier than we expected but Los Angeles is pricey.... so it's probably fairly priced.

Room was small but neat and had all the basic elements we needed, and more. We didn't spend any time in the hotel other than to sleep - and it was just fine for that. The room was very much as pictured in the Booking listing... simple and quiet. The location was great -- a quick walk to The Broad, The Guggenheim, Grand Central Market, Pershing Sq, etc.

That the rate is expensive for what really is, i wouldn't stay here again, the rate doesn't include breakfast, and the room windows can't be open. The hair dryer never turn on. :/

The location is not the best, I didn't feel safe walking out at night at my arrival to have some dinner so I ordered food by delivery.

Kawada Hotel is a good hotel in Downtown LA. Very close to Grand Central Market ideal for breakfast and other meals.

I didn’t like paying $40 for a valet who didn’t know how to drive a stick shift car. I ended up having to park my own car but still pay a valet price. The hot water m never got warm enough to take a relaxing hot shower
