Location is a little close to the road so it could be a little noisy during busy hours and being that its a motel, you overlook the parking lot mostly.

The room was very clean and the staff was friendly. Bare bones but felt extremely clean. Breakfast included was a nice perk and overall everything was very affordable.

Nothing specific. It was good for our one-night stay on our road trip through.

It was in a good location with a short drive into Charleston Touristy Areas. The beds were fairly comfortable.

The only negative thing I can say is there was no coffee pot in the room, although, when I mentioned it upon checking out, I was told that they were working on that. Not having one won't bother some people, though.

I loved the serenity of nature while sitting on the dock or the creek/marshside. The rooms were very clean, the beds and pillows comfortable, and thick towels & washcloths.

We traveled with 2 small children and 2 small dogs. The room could have been a little cleaner. Being on the coast and having laminate floors, the floors stayed extremely dirty. They should provide brooms for each room so you can sweep up yourself. We don’t like for the housekeepers to come in since we had dogs in crates when we were not there. Also no coffee maker in room or microwaves. Those two additional items would have been game changers.

Considering we only paid $140/night, $326 total with taxes it was a decent spot. The location was easy to get to and convenient to downtown Charleston in a short drive.

The first room wasn’t really clean, the tub couldn’t be turned off. So a constant small stream. We moved to another room and it was fine. However a pot smell randomly came through the bathroom vent. I said something because I didn’t want to pay a cleaning fee.

The location and grounds were nice, pretty river. And it was a quick drive into Charleston town

Some college students in formalwear checked in on our last night. The whooping and yelling started around 10:30 and did not end until 2:30am. They were blaring "No Sleep til Brooklyn" and "The Right to Party." It was obvious they were purposely trying to disturb everyone. One call to the night clerk and she said she would "step out there." That was ineffective. The other residents' attempts to quiet them also failed. The young guests awoke at 9:30 and started yelling outside again. Upon checkout at 11 with the music going in the background, I mentioned that they might have trouble again tonight. She looked unconcerned. No eye contact. No sorry you were disturbed. An apology or even commiseration would have gone a long way with me and may have prevented my writing about this experience.

The pond and floating docks are truly relaxing features. The motel provides lake side seating, too.

Someone was entering our room in the morning. Reception meant it was the cleaner, but thats not ok in my opinion. Shower had only cold water, reception gave us the room with the knowledge that the shower was not working properly. We had than a second room to take a shower with warm water.

There was no place to store clothing in the rooms. No closet or dresser space. We had to hang clothes on the lamp after we went and bought some hangars. No hair dryer or coffee in the room either. Breakfast was ok, but not a great selection, and the layout of the breakfast made it very difficult to navigate when more than one person was present. Also, the coffee provided was terrible! Washer was out of order and pool was not open even though it was publicized to open April 1st.

Rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable. The view of the creek is nice.

A little more effort could be put into the breakfast presentation and offerings. Instructions for the IP TV in the room with a channel guide would be helpful. I would suggest requesting an upstairs room when traveling alone due to the parking lot and foot traffic to the office back and forth. While the location has a nice dock the gate was locked so it wasn't open to enjoy.

Friendly lady at check-in. Clean room that met my needs. Convenient to where I needed to be. Mostly quiet, well lite location that felt safe. While I have never stayed at this exact property before I can see how hard the owners have worked to remodel an older hotel, which I really appreciate. It was great for a one night quick stay.

an old facility which was very nicely updated. Very modern and clean bedroom. You could see some rough spots that betrayed the age and old condition - door to bathroom wouldn't close; horrible woodwork on the hinges, but the location and energy put into renovating this place made it a winner.

Staff cleaning our room left a small bag of trash which was promptly removed when the front desk was contacted.

Be prepared for heavy traffic if you decide to drive from here to downtown on weekdays. It's advisable to avoid driving between 3-6 PM as the roads are typically congested during these hours. While this doesn't directly impact the location, it's important information to consider for planning your stay.

It's a lovely, clean room with a comfortable bed, and the bathroom is incredibly spacious. I'll definitely consider staying here again next time I travel in this direction.
