There was a daily hotel fee we were not told about until arriving. The price of valet parking is not provided until check in. We were not given the paperwork for complimentary tours on check in. Worst of all, we went to the restaurant our first night and were ignored by the staff so we left.

Great location for seeing the sights in DC. Hotel was pretty quiet.

Upon arrival had to put flashers on and wait on Connecticut Ave in a line in the traffic lane. There was a car taking ten minutes to unload, who should've been directed to a handicap entrance so they had time to get out. It was dangerous, cars coming behind thinking that the traffic would move, not seeing it's a hotel and not expecting traffic blocked. My kids had to get out and take the luggage in. When I finally got valet I had waited 15 minutes in the traffic lane with flashers on. When I got in the lobby it was pretty loud from the bar and ballrooms, but it was a Saturday night. The hotel didn't do a great job of explaining amenities such as where fitness center was, where breakfast was, the website is not super user friendly when looking for this info and there was no written info in the room with said information. The lobby was nice and you could feel the history. I feel like most of the hotel is modern and there's a lack of emphasizing the importance of the hotels history aside from a few small displays on the mezzanine and prints of famous people that have stayed on the wall in modern art form. There was a used wine glass in the hall when I got to our room. Room was fairly clean but noted spots on upholstered furniture. Typical coffee set up in room with Keurig machine, so went to lobby expecting a complimentary coffee set up considering its fairly standard in nicer hotels. However, the bar was serving coffee and charging to room, the coffee was in the same cup in the room and cheap. No non dairy creamer at all available for coffee you're charged for (note I had paid for breakfast which was additional). Staff seemed to act unfamiliar with amenities like meal credits.

The staff was supercilious, not especially helpful with simple requests for information. With the exception of one kind lady, I witnessed a number of disappointing encounters. I train visitor service teams, so these issues were glaring to me. For example, the door man watched a woman struggle a couple of minutes before helping. I had the wrong number for the valet stand and i asked the desk staff if it was possible for them to call. They looked at each other and said no, without offering any additional information or options. The older lady working the desk kindly walked me to the valet stand.

My room was small, ugly view from window, not enough lights in the room. The a/c seemed to be centrally monitored. It was very cold, even we changed the temperature, it would go back to original settings. Bed was comfortable, but Room should be updated.

Excellent location, beautiful lobby. Great restaurant, specially enjoyed breakfast, and restaurant personnel very efficient and friendly.

We had a great family vacation seeing the sights of DC! This hotel is such a great location, our kids scootered everywhere which they loved! Great bar / restaurant in the lobby and nice rooms. Highly recommend

Breakfast included doesnt mean it is included. it means 52$ (I think) per room is covered and you pay the rest. So it doesn’t work like “breakfast included” for 4 persons in a room.

Location was great. Close to the White House and metro station to the airport.
