Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLovely hotel. We were there mid-week at the end of the ski season so the bar and evening dining weren’t available. Good breakfast though and the fire pit was lit for s’mores in the evening. We recommend The Foundry in Killington for an evening meal. So good we went there twice. Good ski store with heated boot rack.

United KingdomNot that we didn’t like it, but the restaurant on the property was closed for the season, but we found great local restaurants as a result!
Beautiful location, comfortable bed in cosy room, with games room and communal seating areas. Coffee- and tea-making facilities right by the room, which was a great touch! Buffet breakfast was fantastic (and on a Tuesday morning, when other reviews said this wasn’t available).

United Statesrooms a little thin but if you know this is in advance you know what to expect, everyone there is respectful of going to bed and being quieter though. great place for couples and adult families.
the chef is amazing! def make dinner reservations. highly recommend. every staff member there wear several hats and works really hard and yet are so nice, kind, passionate. the hotel is beautiful, the sauna is amazing having access to snow shoes is so nice. just gorgeous property. yes the rooms are a little thin but its an old building frame so take that for what it is! but its beautifully remodeled, and clean as a whistle. be aware the bar and restaurant close around 830/9 to be respectful of sleeping guests so eat dinner on the earlier side! it is amazing food highly recommend the chef!

United KingdomAlthough overall this didn’t spoil our stay there were a couple of things we didn’t like. The cooked breakfast was not very appetising. It was cold on the first day. We just ate toast and muffins. There didn’t seem to be anyone on duty at breakfast. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in our room. There was a drinks station on our floor but we couldn’t find any milk or tea bags.
The accommodation was modern and cosy with everything that we needed. It was spotlessly clean. The location was beautiful as the property was overlooking a lake surrounded by trees. It was so serene. It was also on the Appalachian Trail which we found out by chance.

United StatesBreakfast was great, there was plenty of food and great options. The nightly bonfires with smores and chatting with other guests was fantastic. The view from the dock, the location, the quiet of the night, all made this a fantastic vacation.

United StatesA little more information about how breakfast works would be helpful. Saturday and Sunday were full buffet, but I found out after the fact on Sunday when a staff member saw me eating already that I could have special orderd an omelet, and possibly French toast. On Monday, it turned out the buffet was closed, and it was all special order - omelet, French toast and/or sausage. Just a little information about that would help.
The Mountain Meadows Lodge was a delightful place to stay! I traveled there on a solo respite trip, and the peaceful location was perfect for that. I went out all day Saturday and came back to fire pits going, with s'mores fixings, and fun seasonal drinks available at the bar. I sat around the large fire pit with other guests and chatted for a couple of hours. After breakfast on Sunday, I sat in an Adirondack chair on the dock for awhile, enjoying the peaceful lake view. Several other guests took advantage of the available kayaks to explore the lake. The room was clean and cozy. FYI for other guests, it is an old building and a bit creaky. I stayed on the 2nd floor, and could definitely hear the guests walking above me, but everyone staying there seemed to go to bed at a reasonable hour and I never had problems sleeping. In addition, the walls seemed to be thick enough and I was never bothered by other noise. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, with access to several restaurants, plus a couple of small markets with provisions and delis with hot food and sandwiches if you don't want to go out. Everything closes on the early side in October in Killington, so be aware of that. There is a state park basically around the corner with trails, and a couple of different ponds with boat access.

United StatesOur room #9 needs more than one small hook to hang towels. The lighting is so bright. Maybe some kind of dimmer. As vegan we don't expect a basic hotel to have much for us but the Inn is a special place so some plant based milk options and "real" oatmeal not instant to start would be great. Maybe nicer jam too! Local blueberry!
The staff is friendly and were so wonderful and helpful getting us a great room! The lake view is so beautiful! The bed comfy! Asia and Addison are awesome! Game room was fun.

CanadaOur room was apparently above the kitchen or laundry room and it was a bit noisy in the morning from 6:00 onwards. Single-use plastic glasses and pots at breakfast.
A charming, beautifully renovated hotel. A magnificent setting, close to a lake and numerous hiking trails. Plenty of on-site activities (kayaking, sauna, board games, billiards, table soccer, darts) and a beautiful garden perfect for summer relaxation. And a helpful staff.
