The room had an overall odor and reeked of smoke. When I told the lady when we checked out, she acted like she couldn’t care less. The sheets appeared dirty and wrinkled.

The TV. It’s very weird how a hotel tv doesn’t have any movie apps on it and also give’s limited channels at that. The Comcast with limited channels on the hotel tv was terrible. The toilet didn’t flush good either,

Guests who do not clean up after their pets - way too much dog dung —here, there and everywhere —GROSS!!! They spoil the "pets welcome" policy for those who try to be a good guest with a pet.

The fact that the price was at least doubled the normal rate because there was a concert in town. We weren't even there for the concert and it was 25 miles away. But they still jacked up the rates.

The location was nice, right around food, gas and coffee. And just down the street from I80 so it was very easy to get back on the road.

The cleanliness of the room wasn't great. There were toenail clippings on the floor and hair in the sink, Also dried urine on the outside edge of the toilet bowl. (Bed was clean, though.)

Room was never cleaned and we were told it was due to Covid. Sheets never changed for 4 days. Had to keep going to front desk to get the towels replaced. Also room was difficult to enter with the keycard as unlike other key card entry you have to pull the handle in the opposite direction where no one told us this and another guest that was sitting outside came over and told us it was very tricky to work the entry and he showed us how to do it. Daytime front office person was not helpful at all but nighttime people were much better. Also a safe fee of $2 per day was charged and we were not told this either and was not included in the quoted Booking.Com rate. Room rate and taxes were correct though. This fee should be refunded in my opinion as we did not use the safe.

Our room did not receive housekeeping service the first day, but that may have been a COVID restriction. Even if full service wasn't available, it would have been nice to have trash emptied and fresh towels.

Motel very close to many restaurants, quite within walking distance of some. Room was quiet...even the air conditioner unit, which continued to run due to 90-degree days during our stay. Mini-refrigerator kept items adequately cold and even turned one bottle of water into an ice pack for keeping our beverages cold on our way home. Beds were comfortable.

I've stay at this hotel every time I come to Elkhart and I've never had a problem till this last time. I've dealt with some heartless people before but not as heartless as the staff here. There was an issue that arose with my booking that I wasn't aware of till they came pounding on my door. When I got to the door the manager asked me if I was checking out and I told her no the room is paid for she told me it wasn't. I told her I'll be right down and I went down and I don't know what happened but the reservation was all messed up. So I get on the phone trying to get everything taken care of and they knew I was. They made me check out of the room put my stuff outside what I was taking care of the problem. It was very cold that day and they wouldn't even let me sit in the lobby until I took care of it. I also ask them if I can set the stuff in the room and go sit at McDonald's to warm up and get this taken care of again they said no. I stood outside for over 3 hours until I was able to get someone to pick me up. I ended up checking into another hotel because I refuse to stay there again. I asked to cancel my reservation and can you believe they still charged me for the cancellation. I have a lot of health issues and I'm fighting cancer right now and that's how they treated me. I would never recommend this place to anyone. All the times I've stayed there, they never had a problem with me.
