How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

No trash can in the room. We asked...we didn't receive one. We got a trash bag because we aren't heathens.
The location wasn't far from the concert venue. The room was ADA Compliant with a walk-in shower, grab bars, and wider pathways.

While checking in, someone came in saying he was given a room that someone was already occupying. The front desk staff were clearly flustered trying to help us and him while also trying to answer the phone, but they weren't exactly swamped either. Otherwise check in was fine. However we got to our room and the toilet didn't work (I think the water was shut off?). Notified the front desk but maintenance wasn't going to be able to check it out until the next morning (it was really late at night so not during regular work hours). While for us we dealt with it and just wanted to go to sleep, but for others that would be extremely bad. We checked out in the morning and had no problems leaving.
Beds and pillow were very comfortable and room was spacious enough for a quick stay.

No towels, no remote, the door didn’t open properly, no shampoo or conditioner, the shower was broke, and it was 62f in the room when we got there.

Location was horrible I wasn't comfortable at all nervous about the iffy people hanging around the place just didn't feel safe. The bathroom door didn't close it was broke looked like someone had kicked it in. Beds were so hard it hurt literally so ofcorse we didn't sleep well and seeing as we had 10 hours of driving the next day we left more tired then we were when we got to the location. The people around the hotel were loud yelling and screaming.
The room was okay it was fairly clean

No garbage can in room. Shower floor looked dingy. Could hear traffic noise and trucks backing up in the middle of the night.

The pumps for hand soap and shampoo were empty. There were no actual towels. There was no coffee in the room and no free breakfast. There were small bugs in the bed and bathroom area that may have been baby cockroaches.
Check in and out process was efficient.

It took three rooms until there was not a problem. The first room did not open, the second room had a problem with the toilet, the third room had a problem with the fire alarm and the toilet. Old building with lots of renovation needs.

Well staff are a bit rude at times and there are permanent residents there who are loud and inconsiderate of others but I went to the staff they seem disinterested in my concerns about this situation they eventually did something about it they the staff were rude to me about speaking about it

The towels were very old. I could see they were worn out. The one body towel that was left for me to use was the size of a small hand towel. The heat could not be turned off. I was dying in my room. The fan was squeaky. The toilet seat had bite marks from someone's dog. The room had paint splatter on the floors and was just in pretty gross condition. Hair on my pillow. Hair on my towel - not mine. Just didn't get a very good vibe from this place at all.
I like the location of the hotel as I was attending an event about 2 miles away. I can't give many other positives here.
