How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Some lines during checkin (had to wait 15 minutes), not many laying beds in the pool.
Absolutely perfect location, just 2 mins walking away from Pier 39. The breakfast was really good (many choices, fresh & good quality). Discounts & recommendations for restaurants in the area were provided.

Breakfast is delicious but quite crowded. Lobby comfortable but again quite crowded

Too crowded with customers. Swimming pool too small for the size of this hotel so we never had the opposrtinity to swim. Toilet didn't flush well and no ventilation. Limited tv channels

Very busy . Throngs of people moving everywhere all the time .. no restaurant, just a grab and go . Small bathroom. Breakfast is good but it’s a battle with so many people …

I was charged by facilities fee, like use of pool which I was not able to use because of cool climate :)

The rooms are rather small. The hotel was crowded, which can be seen at the breakfast. It was a little difficult to get the food. However, for the breakfast they could offer more varieties for a 4* hotel.
The property has a nice location, close to the piers. Beds were comfortable. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

The noise from outside the hallway. We can hear the conversation inside the room when people passing by.
Too many varieties to choose from. I couldn't eat em all but everything I ate was good. It's just the coffee is a little light for me.

Quite noisy. I’m a heavy sleeper so not too bad for me but light sleepers won’t like this place. You can hear all the activity and creaking from the room above. Double glazed but still hear loud noise from cars blasting their radios outside.
Fantastic location. Staff very friendly. A tip….don’t buy anything from the SevenEleven (very expensive)…buy from Trader Joes supermarket 3 min walk from hotel. Very close to Pier 39 entertainment and boat to Alcatraz. Rooms very spacious.

The in-room TV channels were limited and there weren't any in-room food options or vending machines. The hotel restaurant was overcrowded too, so we had to go out for every meal. Parking was a little expensive, but the garage was very convenient and had ample parking spaces.
The location was perfect! We had quick access to the wharf and the area was very walkable, with lots of local food and entertainment options nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and all the furniture was super comfortable.

Long wait to check in, not enough staff working the desk. We saw this every day of our stay.
The hotel is in a great location within easy walking distance of Fishermans Wharf attractions and restaurants. Our room was really spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding with many options. The bathroom amenities were great, loved the squeeze bottle body wash. Staff were friendly.

Hotel is in a great location to fisherman’s wharf and transport connections to the rest of the city. Room were clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good although during busy periods you may have to queue for a table

Room was noisy, could hear footsteps of people above us, and road noise. I don't think there is any insulation in this building.
The breakfast, front entrance, service staff and it's close to Fisherman's Wharf and the ferries.
